Kyllachy colt who cost 36,000gns as a two-year-old. Half-brother and dam have both won over this trip but trainer has an unfavourable record with juveniles.

Far more exposed than any other horse in this field, but has run fairly well in novice events in the past and there's reason to believe that this is one of the weaker races he's faced so far.

Impressed on debut when showing signs of his inexperience over this trip at Bath. Every chance he can take a step forward here and would have leading claims if able to do so.

Well beaten into last of five on debut at Lingfield last time out; ran green which probably didn't help and ground may have been softer than ideal, but he will have to leave that performance a long way behind in order to have a say here.

Not the most exciting pedigree, but his dam did win over 6f. Trainer 1/53 with juveniles so far this year and is probably best watched on debut.

All Out

11/1
Acclamation newcomer, a half-brother to a Listed-placed contender who is related to several other winners both on the Flat and over jumps. Seems certain to be better over further in time but goes for top connections here and should go well on debut.

Beaten 27L into last of 11 when sent off 100/1 on debut at Haydock last time out. Drops in trip here but needs much more here against rivals who have shown much more.

Has to be considered given she was just a neck behind subsequently Listed-placed Mrs Gallagher on debut, not quite as good since but return to this trip will help and shouldn't be inconvenienced by ground/draw.

Much better at Yarmouth last time when not beaten far on his third attempt in a novice event. Could be a player here if able to repeat that level of form down to the minimum trip for the first time.

Forecasts

Charnock Richard (9/4), Rozanne (11/4), Little Boy Blue (9/2), Princess Keira (11/2), All Out (11/1), Littlelordconford (11/1), Broughton Excels (50/1), Zouch (66/1), Amazing Amaya (100/1)

Verdict

Princess Keira has some attractive form in the book but needs to bounce back after a below-par effort last time and preference is for LITTLE BOY BLUE. He'll need to take step up from his debut second at Bath last time but showed plenty of promise on that occasion and faces what appears to be a relatively weak field for a maiden here. Charnock Richard has had much more racing than any of his rivals here but has shown he can hit the frame in similar races to this and is another for the shortlist.
  1. Little Boy Blue
  2. Princess Keira
  3. Charnock Richard
