Winner on debut at Lingfield in April but seems to have struggled with the handicap mark he has been allotted since; down only 2lb and may continue to find it difficult.
Has run well in some better races than this in the past but still has only a maiden win to his name and isn't an appealing prospect in this contest.
Made a promising return at Newmarket (on soft ground) earlier in the year but hasn't been so good since; first time blinkers need to see him return to something like that form for him to be competitive.
C&D winner on handicap debut three starts ago, not so good since and seems to prefer fast ground. Tongue strap added for the first time.
Denied in his efforts for a hat-trick at Chepstow last time but the step back up to this trip should suit and he has proven he handles soft ground; leading claims with De Sousa back in the saddle.
Made a solid handicap debut last time out when finishing third at Chelmsford, having won a maiden prior to that. Another big run is likely here, especially if he enjoys a clearer route through.
Steps up to this trip for the first time but there's every indication he should stay given how he finished out his race over 7½f to win nicely last time. Up 4lb he remains progressive and can't be ruled out.
Has taken his form to a new level with two good efforts this year including a win at Haydock last time out. Should have more to offer over this trip and up only 3lb.

SALT WHISTLE BAY won back-to-back races not too long ago with Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle, and it's encouraging to see the Champion Jockey-elect booked again here. Rae Guest's three-year-old colt enjoys soft ground, and the return to this trip will do his chances no harm at all. He should prove to be the one to beat here, ahead of the improving Heaven's Rock and Mooltazem, who can build on a good handicap debut in third last time for trainer John Gosden.
