Makes first start for new trainer here. Steadily falling in the handicap and drops to a possibly more suitable 7f here but not won since maiden a year ago.
Won three of five races to date including debut over 5f here. 2½L fourth of six upped to 1m for first time latest but that looked to stretch him. Back to 7f here and well capable of a big run.
Won over C&D last time out but that was on considerably faster ground and he is up 4lb today. Ran well on good to soft in the past but not shown enough to suggest revised handicap will be a winning mark.
Winner at Carlisle in July who then ran well off today's mark at Beverley. Not disgraced subsequently at Thirsk before probably getting bogged down on heavy over 1m at Carlisle (4/1 fav). Leading player here.
Won a maiden over C&D back in May and subsequently over 7f on good to soft at Thirsk. Found life harder off this mark when 3L fifth of eight latest but may still be improving for top trainer.
Not won this year and paid the price for some decent efforts in defeat. Down 2lb here after struggling last twice but trainer not in great form and still looks to be high enough in the handicaps.
Consistent sort has been in the first four in last eight starts. Second in last two races, raised 1lb for each (behind Our Charlie Brown latest). Equally at home on good to soft and good to firm and over 7f and 1m. Trainer has good record here.
Won three races this year over 7f, one of them here. First of eight at Catterick last time, beating Heir Of Excitement by 1L. Up 3lb to career high mark here but progressive sort likely to take it in his stride.
Irish raider, maiden of five starts. Intriguing runner in his handicap debut here. Some fair form in maidens in Ireland and any market support would be significant.
Behind both Our Charlie Brown and Heir Of Excitement at Catterick latest and weight pull may not be enough to reverse. Lone win came on the AW where he is rated 2lb higher.
Raced exclusively at Ayr and Hamilton. Ran over 1m3f latest having won over 1m time before. Impressive enough that day but 7f may be on the sharp side although jockey won on him in lone ride.
Forecasts
Lomu (9/2), Raselasad (5/1), Our Charlie Brown (6/1), Areen Heart (7/1), Chinese Spirit (8/1), Aimez La Vie (9/1), Heir of Excitement (10/1), At Your Service (12/1), Brogan (14/1), Saint Equiano (16/1), Mamdood (25/1)
Keith Dalgleish has a very strong hand here and preference is for LOMU. He should appreciate the return to 7f and having just his third start of the season may still be ahead of the handicapper. Stablemate Saint Equiano has run well off this mark before and back to a familiar trip and going looks a leading contender. Almez La Vie is still on the upgrade and also capable of going well.
- Lomu
- Saint Equiano
- Aimez La Vie
