Winner at Meydan in February 2016 and hasn't managed to get back in the winner's enclosure since. Has run some respectable race in Group company since and runner-up in this last year but 5lb higher this time and disappointing last time in Turkey.
Has won twice here and is versatile from a ground perspective but well beaten in a couple of Group 3 races most recently and likely to be others better handicapped.
Won the consolation race for this back in 2014 but not won since landing a Listed race at Ascot in 2016 and many of his better efforts have come on faster ground than what he will get here. Opposable after disappointing last time out.
Not won since April 2016 and still remains higher than that mark now. Respectable effort with this apprentice in the saddle last time out at Doncaster but this looks much tougher and he's vulnerable here.
Won a Doncaster handicap towards the end of last seen but struggled in handicaps off his revised mark and he has cut no ice in Group company of late. Looks in need of relief from the handicapper and probably better over further.
Just one win to his name but that came here in a valuable contest over 1m2f. Usually gives his running and ran well on seasonal return at Kempton in April when just touched off in Listed company; first-time cheekpieces may see him in a better light.
Useful when trained in Ireland and gained his first win for this yard in a decent handicap at York two starts back. Couldn't back that up last week at Newbury but has run well here in the past and won't mind any rain that falls.
Much improved for his new yard and his latest run, when going down to Ballet Concerto, looks even better now that horse has picked up two Group 3 races since. Certainly looks well-handicapped but doubts over whether he'll be suited by this ground.
Group 2 winner over in Turkey back in 2015 but has endured an interrupted career since. Well beaten on seasonal return at Goodwood last time out when racing too keenly in the early stages and he's the second-string on jockey bookings.
His latest three wins have all come at Hamilton and he's better suited to further than this and probably wants faster ground.
Heavy ground winner for Andre Fabre when in France and has been running well since joining this yard. Won a Chelmsford handicap before finishing runner-up in a good Class 2 handicap at York last time. More progress possible and not dismissed.
Both career wins have come here and running well in defeat this term, notably when second of 17 in Listed class at York earlier in the year. A little disappointing there last time when favourite but he's less exposed than many and worth considering.
Has been slowly progressing since his juvenile campaign and produced a career best at Ayr two starts back. Too bad to be true at York last time but yard are in fine form in recent weeks and no surprise to see him bounce back.
Won a Class 2 at Redcar in May but has been beaten out of sight twice off his revised mark and certainly questions of his suitability on soft ground; others preferred.
Two of his four wins have come on this course and produced a career best at Sandown three starts back but well beaten off his revised mark twice since, including when well beaten behind Master The World on soft ground at Goodwood last time.
Winner on debut for this yard in the Lincoln but hasn't won since. Some respectable efforts on latest couple of starts, shaping like a return to form may be imminent and finds himself 3lb below his last winning mark. Top Irish jockey booked.
Finished last four times in a row before a better effort last time out at Doncaster. Needs to build on that effort and strike-rate of one win from 20 starts is off-putting in a race as competitive as this.
Beat GM Hopkins two starts back at Sandown with Moore aboard and good effort at York last time when fifth of 17, behind re-opposing stablemate that finished runner-up. Work on to reverse that form and his best efforts have come on fast ground.
Won three times last year and respectable effort when fifth in the Lincoln at the start of the season. Changed yards since and showed very little on first start for this trainer last time. Gets the services of top apprentice but has to improve.
Has improved with each start since arriving from France and plenty to like about the way he won on soft ground at Ascot last time out. Only carries another 4lb here and ought to be right there again.
Won his second and third start as a juvenile but yet to get his head in front this campaign. Ran well last time out when placed at York but this looks tougher again and useful claimer needs to be worth the 5lb he takes off.
Returned to form part way through the summer with a win at York on fast ground and followed that up with a win in Class 2 company at Goodwood last time out under this jockey. This clearly tougher but can't be ruled out now he's back in form.
Inconsistent sort who ran well over C&D last year when runner-up but has disappointed on two subsequent starts (one on July course) here including in this race last year. 2lb higher this time around but has been out of form lately and hard to fancy.
Dual Group 3 winner back in 2014 but has only won one of his subsequent 25 starts and has been very disappointing since joining this yard. Obviously well-handicapped on old form but hard to fancy in current mood.
Rattled off a hat-trick before leaving Mark Prescott and continued improving for these connections last year. Just a Thirsk win to his name this time around though and he's been struggling in weaker events than this.
Arrives on a four-timer after three wins over 1m2f and plenty to like about the way he won last time, asserting late on. Hasn't always looked straightforward but seemingly got the hang of things lately and he's the first-string on jockey bookings.
Followed up a win over the mile here with a fine effort in Listed company last time out at Sandown. Due to go up another 2lb when reassessed and won't mind a return to softer conditions; interesting runner.
Won on the July course last year over 1m2f and has won twice this year including a career best effort in a Newbury Class 2 last time. Softer ground a concern but certainly going the right way at present.
In good form this year, winning twice at Ayr but looks held by the handicapper on recent efforts and arrives on a career-high mark.
Has seven career wins to his name but unplaced on his latest six efforts since winning at Windsor earlier in the season. Looks out of his depth in this company and yard are out of form but versatile from a conditions perspective at least.
Won three times last year and started this season in good form but she's disappointed on her last couple of starts and seemingly in the handicappers grip for now. Would probably want faster ground than this.
Has been kept busy this year and has won three races at Ripon this summer. Seemingly enjoys an undulating course and clearly in good heart at present so couldn't be ruled out, despite the fact this will be by far his toughest test.
One win from 12 starts since joining this yard but has been in better form than that record suggests. Respectable effort last time out at Ripon when runner-up but probably a little out of his depth in this line up.
Just one win from 21 starts in his career to date and while he is very inconsistent, there's been times that he's given the impression this mark could be well within his compass. Second-string on jockey bookings but won't mind any rain.

CHELSEA LAD is less exposed than most in this contest and it's likely this handicap mark is still on the lenient side. He was well-backed and had excuses when beaten last time out and he may be the one to side with in a typically competitive renewal. John Gosden has a good record in this race and runs Linguistic who is a danger to all if ready to go after a lay-off. Naval Warfare and Leader Writer won't mind any rain that falls but Thundering Blue may be the main danger to the selection in his bid for a four-timer.
