Kicked off her career with a 50/1 win over C&D early in 2016 and, though she has largely struggled to build on that, she hinted at a return to form when third at Wolverhampton (extended 1m1f) last time out. Workable mark.

Shaped with plenty of promise as a three-year-old at times last season without winning, most notably when not beaten far in handicaps over 1m at Bath and Yarmouth. Had handled the AW before that but has a long absence to overcome here.

A winner over 1m at Lingfield earlier in the year and has improved since stepping up to 1m2f, staying on strongly to score over C&D in first-time cheekpieces last time out. Obvious claims off just a 3lb higher mark.

Has taken time to come to hand but came good with a couple of comfortable AW wins over 1m last month. Couldn't back up off a revised mark on turf last time and still has his stamina to prove over 1m2f.

Decent performer for Denis Quinn, winning three times from 10 attempts on the AW, the second of which came over 1m here in March. First run for a new yard here after a layoff and is unproven over this trip.

Much more effective on the AW than on turf (5 wins vs 1) but the handicapper appears to have been in control for most of this year. Only mid-division over C&D in a similar event two runs back, so not an obvious winner.

Better form since being gelded, winning at Newbury (1m2f, good) and Salisbury (1m, good) during the summer. Not beaten far at Epson last time out either so merits consideration from the same mark on his AW debut.

Was winning for just the second time in 34 starts when scoring at Redcar (1m, good) in June on his final start for David Thompson. Didn't show much on his debut for this yard at Musselburgh recently and hard to get excited about.

5/1
The subject of mistaken identity when 'winning' a 6f race restricted to two-year-olds at Yarmouth. Has shaped well since, including when third at Sandown (1m2f, good) last time out and, having handled this track previously, she could go well.

Flashes of promise in 1m maidens before an encouraging handicap debut over 1m at Kempton earlier this month, plugging on for third behind Solent Meads. Shapes as though this longer trip will suit and current mark looks exploitable.

Couple of promising efforts in AW maidens and on his handicap debut over 7f at Brighton but less impressive over 7f here last time. Bred to appreciate middle-distances so has to be of interest in a change of headgear.

Entangling (4/1), Ourmullion (9/2), Corked (9/2), True Colors (9/2), Millie's Kiss (5/1), Hawridge Glory (8/1), Mighty Lady (8/1), Miss Mirabeau (8/1), Mutineer (10/1), The Gay Cavalier (16/1), Muqarred (25/1), Scribner Creek (33/1), Kicking The Can (33/1)

Verdict

Expensive purchase Entangling made quite hard work of landing the odds at Yarmouth last time but is at least on the upgrade and has to go on any shortlist here along with Mighty Lady but the two to focus on could be Miss Mirabeau and TRUE COLOURS who each step up in distance. Preference is for the latter who appeared to be crying out for this distance when handling a similar surface perfectly well when third on his handicap debut at Kempton.
