A course winner in the distant past the losing run continues to mount and shows no sign of abating even on the back of a much reduced mark. Others have better chances here and would need some to falter even to make the frame.
Took a step back in the right direction when taking a modest fourth here in his penultimate start having previously seemed suited by this track (won here three times). Ran well enough again last time out although a wide draw here makes life tougher.
Will attract interest with one of the leading amateur riders on board although a double-figure draw will make life tough. Yet to win off a mark this high and well beaten last time out (better grade) and may find this difficult.
Yet to win for this yard having not looked at his best this year although he has on a couple of occasions shaped better than his final placing. Generally looks vulnerable off this mark to less-exposed sorts although there may not be any of those here.
Well drawn towards the inside he's been in reasonable form of late although goes give the impression that he can flatter only to deceive. 5lb above his last winning mark he'll appreciate a strong gallop at this trip.
Has been in good form this year with three C&D wins on his CV already (got one on a disqualification) and only 3lb higher than his last win now. Wasn't seen to best effect last time out but should be in the mix returned to his favourite venue.
Aiming for his 16th win here having run consistently well of late on turf and AW surfaces with his recent second to Ivors Involvement here a solid piece of form. Goes without his usual eyeshields here but enters calculations on recent form.
Finally added another win to his tally when taking a classified stakes over a slightly shorter trip here last time. Given his overall record though he's not the likeliest sort to follow-up and might find this return to handicaps more difficult.
Showed her best form this year when winning under today's rider in a similar event in July off a mark of 46. Hasn't been disgraced since in five arguably better handicaps and a drop in the weight and a return to this track will certainly help.
Had shown some improvement prior to winning over C&D last time when he travelled well and made all. Won't find it so easy here to dominate a bigger field with pace pressure and an awkward draw to contend with.
Was well backed before he was declared a non-runner on his last intended start and although he's not to show his full potential here is a feeling that he's bubbling under. Makes his first start for this yard and should be watched in the market.
Looks to have lost his way on the Flat having been a fair maiden in the past when he was with Ralph Beckett. Now runs from just out of the handicap from a poor draw and his chance is not obvious.
Remains a maiden in all sphere with a 0/23 Flat record and he will be doing well to improve on that record here. Not run on the Flat this year but his hurdles outings do nothing to make you want to support him.
One of the lesser lights from this powerful stable he did show some sort of form last time out at Ayr over a trip (1m5f) that looked too far (travelled well). Now back at a more suitable distance he may well be one to watch from a lowly mark.

The draw may make life a little more difficult for one or two of the leading candidates here but you would have to respect three-time C&D winner Bollin Ted as he returns to a venue that clearly suits him well. Life Knowledge is another to throw in the mix although he can be found wanting in a finish with Graceful Act another one who will appreciate a return to this track. John Caesar is likely to find this more difficult with Ivors Involvement one of those who has not been lucky with the draw. The two most fascinating candidates reside towards the foot of the handicap with PALINDROME from the Marjorie Fife yard getting the nod over Royal Cosmic. The former makes his first start for the Fife barn having shown he could be up to winning something like this while the later travelled well last time before failing to get home and this trip looks far more suitable off a basement mark with a good amateur booked.
