Won well on soft ground at Ascot last time out, carries a 3lb penalty here but that's not too much of a worry is she is able to transfer that form to this surface, and another big run is expected.

Pastoral Pursuits newcomer whose dam and only half-brother have both played only small parts in their races, and she looks set to do the same here.

Declaration of War filly, out of a dam of little account but who is related to a couple of useful types herself. Others looks more appealing on paper.

Well-beaten on debut when sent off a big price and never threatening. Seems an unlikely winner second time out against some more promising rivals.

Mount Nelson half-sister to a couple of winners but seems likely to be better over least slightly further in time based on pedigree.
Dark Angel filly who makes her debut for a top trainer here. Dam unraced but related to some talented types, and this should be a suitable trip for her.

Beaten 15L on debut at Carlisle earlier in the month when sent off a not unfancied 7/2; possibly undone by the heavy ground there but still needs to show something else here.
Improved marginally for her second start at Wetherby last time and returns after a short break here for her all-weather debut. Holds claims if continuing that progression.
Farhh half-sister to a few winners. Stallion has had a few classy types in his first crop so far, and this yard has a fair record with all-weather two-year-olds.

Dubawi newcomer whose dam won a Listed race over this trip at two, and went on to win at Group 3 level. An interesting contender on debut.
Full-sister to US Grade 2 winner (on turf) Mittersil, and could go well on debut with the assistance of a top jockey in the saddle.

Raven's Pass half-sister to German Group 1 winner Poseidon Adventure who cost 170,000gns as a yearling. A bold bid can be expected on debut given his pedigree, trainer and price, in addition to a helpful draw.

Forecasts

Odyssa (9/4), Rahaaba (3/1), Homeopathic (7/1), Power And Peace (7/1), Poyle Charlotte (8/1), Brexitmeansbrexit (8/1), Timpani (9/1), Teenage Gal (16/1), Showdancing (20/1), Isle Of Avalon (33/1), Heptathlete (50/1), Black Lotus (50/1), Grace's Secret (66/1), Benger's Pursuit (100/1)

Verdict

Though it was very different conditions at Ascot when she got off the mark last time out, perhaps ODYSSA can double up here. Richard Hughes' charge impressed with the manner of her victory on that occasion and has previously run well at Wolverhampton despite racing too keenly in the early stages. There are plenty of relatively well-bred newcomers to challenge her though, including Timpani, a daughter of Raven's Pass with Group 1 form in her family, and Rahaaba, who has the pedigree to win a race such as this as a two-year-old.
