Took six attempts to get off the mark and when she did she didn't look an easy ride (had to be cajoled along) and isn't straightforward at all. Now makes her handicap debut off over a longer trip off a moderate mark and this will prove tougher.

Had looked progressive and versatile when lading a couple of handicaps over distances 3f apart at Sandown and Musselburgh. Ran respectably last time out off a career high mark on the AW in a race that didn't really test her stamina and will appreciate a strong gallop.

Failed to live up to expectations last year and looked set for a better year after winning her first start this year over 1m2f at Brighton. Has never really looked as though she was going to build on that win though and has questions to answer here.

So Sleek (6/4), Fengate (7/2), Sea Tide (6/1), Jive Talking (13/2), Vernatti (10/1), Bonnie Arlene (11/1), Pernickety (14/1)

Not that many here with a solid profile with most having some sort of question mark over their form and it may be that BONNIE ARLENE can overcome her career high mark back on turf if she gets a strongly run race. Fengate has shown some promise and this extra distance is likely to suit her better while So Sleek needs to improve again although she did do well to win in a falsely run race last time where she wasn’t well placed. Sea Tide looks a challenging ride while Jive Talking needs to settle better to have a chance and Vernatti has to show more progress to win off her current mark.
