Twice a winner here over shorter distances she looked as though she was ahead of the handicapper when winning at Bath last time over 1m5f and doing well to do so. Now over the longest trip she's tried off a 7lb higher mark but should be in the mix.

His recent win came over a longer trip at Bath (2m1f) although that wasn't a true test at the trip and his turn of foot stood him in good stead. Dropped back to 1m4f last time he showed up well in defeat only going down to a progressive type.

Powered home on her handicap debut at Bath over this trip on soft ground looking well ahead of her initial mark of 65 (travelled well). Pushed on 11lb for that win she disappointed on her AW debut next time out and will be happier back on turf now.

Winless for over 18 months now he's slipped to a good mark but isn't one that you could rely on totally and is often slow away. His inconsistent and wayward tendencies make him tough to support despite the first-time blinkers.

Connections will have been wishing this race was run at Bath where he's performed with credit despite being too forcefully ridden on his last four starts. Has done well to be placed in three of those races and may be able to do better with cheekpieces on now.

The only C&D winner in the field but that win came over five years ago when with Mick Channon. He's been around the block since then and hasn't won on the Flat for ages although he has shaped well at a lowly level of late in this sphere but faces a tough task here.

Verdict

A relatively competitive handicap that had to be moved to this card after the track at Bath was deemed unfit for racing over this trip due to a bug infestation. Eden Dubai will be dangerous here if he gets a soft lead and a slightly more conservative ride on his first run for John Flint given how well he’s run at Bath under some ultra aggressive rides of late. Desert Cross is also expected to show up well although the ground may be a little soft for him with Dukinta sure to be suited by a return to turf. Innoko arrives here in good form and should continue to be competitive off this mark while Hope Is High has proved progressive but a rise in the weights and this trip might find her out. In the end WITH PLEASURE is the suggestion having looked a versatile sort on his last two starts and gives John Flint a good chance of lifting this prize.
