Seeking a hat-trick following two wins at Kempton earlier this month. Most recent of those came over today's trip and he is one for the shortlist despite a 7lb penalty.
Disappointing over 1m2f since placing twice over an extended 1m in May. Drop in trip looks likely to suit but remains on a mark 5lb higher than for her latest victory.
Finished a decent third in first time blinkers (retained since) over 7f at Yarmouth (good) in July. Disappointing twice since and needs to return to form today.
Couple of decent efforts earlier this year including when runner-up over 7f at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) in June. Well held off this much higher AW mark last time out and more needed today.
Signs of ability in maiden company but well held in a maiden handicap on handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time out and probably best watched.
Ten race maiden and well held in handicap company in recent outings. Others make more appeal on his first start over today's trip.
Well beaten in three maiden starts so far including over 7f at Wolverhampton in June. Making his handicap debut today.
Sole success came over C&D in May. Couple of decent efforts the last twice including when 7L second over 1m2f here three weeks ago. Drop in trip is likely to suit and one to note in this contest.
Seven race maiden but put in a career best effort when finishing a close third of nine over this C&D earlier this month. Interesting if repeating that latest effort.
12 race maiden but finished runner-up the last twice including when beaten a short-head over this trip at Salisbury (good) on her penultimate outing. One to note off the same mark today.
Maiden after eight starts and put in his best effort so far when third of 14 on his penultimate outing at Newcastle back in June. Well held at Wolverhampton subsequently.
Yet to win in seven starts and well held upped to 1m4f at Kempton last month. Non-runner for a 7f contest at the same course since and others make more appeal.
17 race maiden but ran well in two of his three starts since joining this stable. Latest of those came in first time blinkers (retained) at Wolverhampton last month.
Won just one of his 34 starts with that victory coming over today's C&D back in November 2015. Disappointing in the main since and others have a more obvious chance.
Well held in three maiden starts and a similar result on handicap debut over 7f at Kempton earlier this month.
19 race maiden and well held in two starts since joining this yard and returning from well over a year off the track this year. Has refused to race in the past.
Forecasts
Chetan (3/1), Belgravian (9/2), Prince Jai (6/1), Dukes Meadow (8/1), Never Folding (8/1), Captain Hawk (10/1), Chough (10/1), Just Fab (12/1), Born To Reason (14/1), Little Choosey (16/1), Three's A Crowd (20/1), Caledonia Laird (25/1), The Happy Hammer (33/1), Bird For Life (50/1), Princess Ophelia (50/1), Dylan's Centenary (50/1)
PRINCE JAI ran well when attempting to make all at Wolverhampton last time out and with blinkers fitted once more he can take this competitive handicap. Ian Williams charge remains a maiden after 17 starts but has shaped well on his two most recent starts since joining this yard earlier this year and with few pace angles in this contest he can register a first success at the chief expense of Chetan who has been in good form recently and is bidding to complete a hat-trick following two Kempton victories. Chough has been running well on turf recently and can claim third in this contest.
- Prince Jai
- Chetan
- Chough
