Winner twice in five starts this term and yet to finish outside the first two, was rather slowly away last time at York and did well to finish second. Likely not done improving.

Losing sequence is out to 12 now but previous two runs have been much more like it at Chester and Leicester. Not discounted.

Won first two starts of this season, including Sandown 5f handicap in this class. Rated 8lb higher for this and comes in on the back of a weak finish at Newmarket but not fully exposed yet.

Filly won a Hamilton handicap on good to firm in May off a mark of 100, she has lost her way since (run in some good company) but was unable to land a blow in apprentice contest at York last month. Questions to answer but mark has slipped 8lb now.

Decent handicapper, form has been in and out lately, ran decent race last time at Musselburgh over the trip when close up in third. Others make more appeal for win purposes.

Rarely runs a bad race but has tendency to settle for minor honours (2-18). Likely to be right in the thick of it again without winning.

Forecasts

Dakota Gold (11/10), Arzaak (4/1), Jumira Bridge (13/2), Gracious John (7/1), Orient Class (9/1), Equimou (12/1)

Verdict

DAKOTA GOLD fluffed the start last time at York but still did well to come home in second spot, he's been a model of consistency this term and, granted a clean break, looks up to adding a third win of the term. Equally consistent has been Arzaak though he doesn't go through with winning as often as would be desirable. Gracious John has been hinting at a revival while Equimou has some questions to answer but is now rated 8lb lower than when scoring over this trip at Hamilton in May.
  1. Dakota Gold
  2. Arzaak
  3. Equimou
