Yet to get off the mark this year but has gone very close on a couple of occasions and seems to be on a workable handicap mark. Stays 1m2f, extra furlong unlikely to be an issue but both victories have come with 'good' in the going description.
Soft ground winner at Ayr in June over 1m2f, trip no issue and should be able to operate off his current mark, especially with his apprentice rider claiming a useful 7lb.
Two very good efforts on soft ground at Hamilton the last twice, and is up 3lb here. This seems to be his trip and he should be able to handle the ground better than most of these.
Seems to want further than this these days, despite having won over 1m4f last year, but acts on softer ground and not totally discounted if turning up here in his best form.
0/12 and proving somewhat hard to win with, but has put in some solid efforts over a variety of trips including on soft ground, and is slowly working his way down the handicap.
Dual-purpose performer who is on a long enough losing streak by now; showed little on first Flat outing for this yard last time out.
Has only raced three times since August 2015 so has clearly had his issues, and makes his belated seasonal reappearance here. Very difficult to build a case for on his form last year, including a poor run over C&D on soft ground.
Disappointing favourite when at Ballinrobe last time out when perhaps not suited by the track, should be more at home here and seems to handle the ground. Not discounted if bouncing back to form of recent Gowran win.
Only tame efforts up to now in his career, step up in trip unlikely to make the difference and he looks set for another minor role here.
Dead-heated at Ayr in July 2015 but very little encouraging form recently. Beaten a total of three horses home in five runs since that victory; visor fitted here.
Shouldn't necessarily have an issue with this new trip but has shown very little in eight races so far and is difficult to see winning anytime soon.
Beaten 10L+ in each race she has run in so far. This possibly her weakest assignment to date but first time cheek pieces would need to make all the difference in order for her even to be considered for place purposes.
Steps up in trip here having run slightly more encouragingly since switched to handicap company, but not well enough to suggest that a first career victory is imminent.
Forecasts
Les Arceaux (9/4), Paddy's Rock (4/1), Colour Contrast (11/2), Quoteline Direct (8/1), Rubis (17/2), Mcvicar (17/2), Unonothinjonsnow (9/1), Heaven Scent (25/1), Chionodoxa (33/1), Chookie Valentine (50/1), Hazy Manor (66/1), Papagayo (80/1), Wolf Heart (80/1)
Many of these don't look likely to be winning a race of any description soon, but PADDY'S ROCK has put up two very solid efforts the last twice. With those performances both having come on soft ground over a similar trip to this there's every chance he can defy a 3lb rise in the weights and get his head in front for the second time this season here. Les Arceaux holds obvious claims if able to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Ballinrobe last time out while Colour Contrast should have a race of this nature in him at some point in the near future.
