Had previously appeared stronger over 1m, but arrives seeking the hat-trick after taking a C&D claiming stakes recently (good to soft). Handles cut well and has the scope to step back into this grade, but obviously faces a tougher assignment.

Seemingly not able to carry the additional weight since a 1m4f soft ground double at Newbury and Chepstow earlier in the year. Stays well though and has been dropped 2lb since her latest start and has ground conditions to suit.

Untested beyond 1m2f having tasted success on four occasions over that trip since early May. Her mark has risen 13lb overall since that winning run commenced; 2lb since her latest success by a nose at Epsom in early August.

Taken a while to find her feet, but progressing well now and produced a clear career best effort on her handicap debut (first try over 1m4f) when a neck second to Moonlight Silver at Kempton latest. Strong claims back on turf from 2lb higher.

Cost 65,000 gns as a yearling, and by Nathaniel out of Heavenly Whisper is a half-sister to a number of winners. Steady rather than spectacular in maidens thus far, but on a feasible mark for handicap debut and up in trip.

Back from a spell over hurdles, and the return to the Flat has proved productive, winning twice over C&D since late July. Raised 3lb for her latest victory (just lasted) and this contest is a grade higher.

Verdict

RAINBOW RISING is potentially the most interesting filly in this contest. She appeared in need of the experience on her first couple of starts, but now seems to be really finding her feet, producing a clear career best on handicap debut at Kempton (1m4f) last month. Whilst now back on turf, she has already proved her ability to handle this track on her final start in a maiden (beaten ¾L by Golden Wolf over 1m2f), and her current mark of 71 only looks likely to be improved upon.
