No win since December 2015 and returns off the back of a short break here not looking anything like his best when last seen; top-weights a tall order unless he returns in better shape.
No win since February 2015 and seems better on other forms of all-weather (hasn't placed in five attempts on the Polytrack). Showed little over C&D two starts ago and others are strongly preferred after a long break.
C&D winner and back down to his most recent winning all-weather handicap mark. Jockey booking an interesting one but needs to return to some of his better form in order to threaten.
Consistent sort who has finished in the first three in all five of his races since switching to this yard. Slowly climbing up the handicap, despite not having won a race yet, but beaten less than a length last time and requires consideration.
Steps up to this trip for the first time having run most of his races over 7f, and having shown some form on the Polytrack in the past. Should stay this far and tends to stay on strongly in his finishes, so has to have a big chance here.
Makes his stable debut having lost his way for Jonathon Portman following some promising early efforts. That change will have to see him return to something like his best for him to even be a place prospect.
Ran a fine race to be just denied on his return to the all-weather last week. On the same mark for this and clearly much more effective on a synthetic surface, if proving a little bit difficult to win with.
Makes his handicap debut having been soundly beaten in three maidens, most significantly last time (but was held up in a race where it paid to race prominently). A better showing possible off this opening mark.
A winner on handicap debut two starts ago and ran well up 6lb last time out. Up another 2lb now but has already improved plenty and could progress further over this trip if able to prove himself on the surface.
Sole career victory came on Polytrack (over a furlong shorter), but has been running only moderate races in the main recently and has been given very little help by the handicapper. Readily passed over.
Yet to register a win on the all-weather yet races off his turf mark here; difficult to recommend based on the form he has been showing at Bath recently.
Not at his best since moving to this yard from Ian Williams, despite having run a couple of creditable races to place, and his record on the all-weather does nothing to encourage enthusiasm for his chances.
C&D winner who also recently got his head in front at Salisbury; struggles off 6lb higher since and though he has dropped down the weights again he has had plenty of chances off a similar mark on the all-weather since last winning on it in 2013.

Though he has done most of his racing over shorter, there seems to be every chance that WIDNES will relish this step up to this trip for the first time, and he could take the beating here. Though he's by Showcasing his dam stayed further than this, and he has been doing his best work late in his recent races over 7f. Having shown form on Polytrack, he could be the one to be with here, while recent Wolverhampton second Solent Meads and the consistent Coverham are feared most.
