Unable to add to last year's two wins since being gelded, with four second placings on his CV, including the last two at Newmarket and Chester over similar trips. Up 4lb for the latest of those and more difficult to fancy as a result.
Effective over both 7f and 1m with his latest win at Yarmouth in May being over the former. Well held in better company since that success, but may do better now dropped in grade, although he has a bit to prove from this mark.
Both his wins were when trained by David Evans and when 2lb lower than today. Looked like he may be coming back to form last time, though still has a bit to prove from this mark and over this longer trip.
Goes into this just 2lb higher than when winning a similar contest at Redcar (7f, good to firm) in June and he went close off today's mark at Epsom on his next start. Another very good effort at Doncaster last time and likely to be a leading player.
Won over this trip on his nursery debut at Newbury last season and beaten just a short head at Ascot over 1m in May, when rated 3lb lower. Went close again at Newbury (7f) last time and should be in the mix once again despite nudge up 2lb.
All four of his wins have been over 7f, the latest over C&D (good to firm) in May. 1lb higher than that today and should appreciate the return to this grade. Probable contender.

Graphite Storm (9/4), War Glory (3/1), Qeyaadah (7/2), Easy Tiger (6/1), Taurean Star (13/2), Baron Bolt (7/1), Firmdecisions (10/1), Smokey Lane (33/1)
Despite just eight runners this should be a relatively open betting heat and the suggestion is QEYAADAH, who is putting together some consistent efforts and a repeat of his Doncaster effort would see him go very close today. Graphite Storm looks likely to prove a danger while Firmdecisions shaped as though coming back to form last time and Easy Tiger is another with claims.
- Qeyaadah
- Graphite Storm
- Firmdecisions
