Improved for her debut when taking a similar contest at Chepstow (7f, good to soft) last time in convincing fashion. Has to shoulder a penalty as a result of that, but yard in cracking form and she looks capable of another good performance.
10-1 and beaten just 1½L into third on debut (6f, soft) at Newbury last month. Entitled to improve for that experience and for this step up in trip; should be a leading player.

48,000 gns yearling. Half-sister to 1m-1m2f winner Mango Diva (inc. Group 2). Dam 7f-1m2f winning (inc. at two/Group 3) half-sister to 7f-1m2f winner Bonecrusher. Enough in her pedigree to merit a market check and could go well.

Well beaten on both starts so far over 6f on soft/good-to-firm. Looks to have too much to find here and likely to be a more attractive proposition in time and when going handicapping.

Second foal of a French 7½f winning full-sister to 1m-1m6f GB/UAE winner Achill Bay and half-sister to 1m3½f Listed winner Hammiya. Stable's turf juveniles currently running at around half its usual strike rate, so may be one to watch on debut.

14-1 on debut, when she didn't have the pace to go with them at the business end at Newbury (6f, soft). Step up in trip should therefore help and she is more than likely to have a say here.

Closely related to two winners over this trip, one at two-years-old. Half-sister to 1m winner Staunch and 6f two-year-old winner Showpiece. Dam placed 1m/1m2f and closely related to Cheveley Park winner Wannabe Grand. Debutant to note in the market.

Last of seven on her debut at Nottingham (1m½f, good) last month, when beaten over 9L. Has since switched to this yard from Steph Hollinshead. Drop in trip is worth a try and hood added here, but her first task is to show some ability.

Made a promising debut at Newmarket (7f, soft) last month and was sent off as the odds-on favourite back over that C&D last time, coming home a 4L runner-up. That was probably an improvement and she may need more of that to break her duck today.

Has put in a couple of promising runs at Newmarket either side of a less effective effort at Ascot. Made the frame when stepped up to this trip last time and gets another crack at it. Should be thereabouts.

Forecasts

Tivoli (6/4), Aim Of Artemis (11/4), Shepherd Market (7/2), Ziarah (7/1), Hula Girl (12/1), Zoraya (25/1), Preening (33/1), Fayrouz (40/1), Grace's Secret (66/1), Railport Dolly (100/1), Ferrier (200/1)

Verdict

There was plenty to like about the performance of SHEPHERD MARKET last time and with his runners in good form, the Clive Cox-trained filly is taken to defy a penalty. Aim Of Artemis showed plenty of promise on debut and should make it competitive. Hula Girl and Tivoli are others likely to give good accounts, while of course a market check would be prudent with regard to the debutantes.
  1. Shepherd Market
  2. Aim Of Artemis
  3. Hula Girl
