Only win from eight starts came on soft ground over 7f at Thirsk last summer but hasn't kicked on and could only manage mid-division over C&D last time. Dropped 2lb but may need further relief before winning again.
Had been gradually coming to hand before finally obliging at the eighth attempt under this rider over 7f at Goodwood last month, scoring a shade cosily. Subsequent 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid.
Had already gone close twice before winning a Newmarket maiden on soft ground over 7f in May. Didn't get the best of runs in a valuable event at Chelmsford on her handicap debut and could be worth another chance.
Twice a winner over 1m on polytrack for Andrew Balding, including over this C&D, but no improvement since being gelded last winter. Ran poorly in first-time blinkers last time out in June but market move would be interesting on debut for a new yard.
Boasts two polytrack wins and a victory at Brighton on his CV and, though he was running well enough earlier this summer, he has gone badly off the boil of late. Something clearly amiss last time and possibly best watched in the short-term.
Justified favouritism with a winning debut over 6f at Yarmouth last summer but has found life tougher in handicaps since without being disgraced. Noted staying on when returning from a break over 7f here latest, so merits respect back over 1m.
Had already placed four times before finally obliging in a 1m maiden at Yarmouth (good) in July but well-held on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month. Same mark here, so needs to find improvement.
Disappointingly took four attempts before breaking his maiden tag over C&D in April and hasn't looked straightforward since, finishing stone last in a first-time visor at Newcastle latest. Hard to get too enthusiastic about from a tricky draw.
Just one success since 2013 and it's now 15 runs without a win for this yard following a mid-division effort at Goodwood (7f, good) latest. Potentially well-treated if it all came together but others more persuasive right now.
All three wins have come over 6f, most recently when exploiting a plum draw at Chester (good) in May. Hasn't really gone on from that, including since being gelded, and arrives here with a big stamina query to answer.

Talented apprentice Finley Marsh got a really good tune out of Wannabe Friends when the pair were successful at Goodwood last time out and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold follow up bid. There should be more to come too from Jalela who was denied a clear passage when pitched into a hot event at Chelmsford last time but the one to beat could be ERNSTSTAVROBLOFELD who really caught the eye on his return from a break over 7f here last month.
