No win on the Flat since 2013, form this year has been poor in the main and needs to bounce in this. On a fair mark if able to produce best stuff.

Is 7lb higher than when landing big-field handicap at Galway Festival on penultimate start, stealing a march from the front to score over 2m½f. Enters the equation again.

Decent hurdler, form this year leaves a bit to be desired, well beaten both Flat starts last month over much shorter trips. Rating dropped 6lb as a result.

Just one win from eight starts on Flat, coming over 1m6f at Galway in August 2015. Fit enough to do himself justice and useful claimer does well for this trainer.

Won pair of low-grade AW handicaps at Wolverhampton in January over 1m6f, pipe opener at Bellewstown last week but probably too high in ratings for this.

No win since 2014, now standing at 14 runs, stamina for this trip is questionable. More than 10L behind Magna Cartor at Galway last month and 2f extra to cover now.

Behind some of these on previous Flat outing over 2m at the Curragh in July, ran fair race over hurdles at Bellewstown last week and not entirely discounted having dropped another 4lb coming back to the Flat.

Has dropped another 2lb but will have to improve on Flat runs over 2m at the Curragh in May/July. Gets first-time tongue tie and blinkers added now.

2lb lower than when finishing just over 6L behind Magna Cartor at Galway in August over 2m½f, the mare cannot be ruled out entirely on her best form.

Eight-race maiden whose mark had been sliding prior to recent runner-up effort over 1m6f at Killarney. Better effort there, must prove stamina for this trip.

Poor in maiden hurdles when trained by Willie Mullins, hasn't exactly come forward for this yard, including Flat runs at up to 1m6f last month. Hard to build the case on what has been seen to date.

Four-time winner over jumps this year, all at trips further than this. In good heart clearly and lowly rating / respected trainer ensure he's one to take serious note of in the betting.

Verdict

A tough finale, Magna Cartor got a nice win at Galway on previous Flat start and while respected, may not be allowed to slip the field quite as easy this time. Venezia made a winning start over hurdles for this yard in June and advertised fair claims for this sort of prize when running on late over an inadequate trip at Leopardstown since. Boom Or Bush represents a stable going great guns but does have a stamina question to answer tackling this sort of trip for the first time. Neverushacon looks a big player on his run at the Curragh in July on the Flat but it might pay to side with Gordon Elliott's runner PRESENTING JULIO, four times a winner over jumps this year, and on a dangerously low weight now returned to the Flat if producing that type of effort.
