Zoffany colt cost connections a hefty sum but hasn't shown enough in two maidens at the Curragh to warrant support here coming back down to 7f.

Casamento gelding is closely related to 7f/1m winner Mojave Desert, amongst others winner and merits a check in the betting ahead of this debut run.
A 420,000 gns son of Galileo with an excellent pedigree, he warrants maximum respect on debut, despite yard's two-year-old's sometimes needing the run.

Very disappointing over this trip at the Curragh in June on yielding to soft ground and given a break since. Represents powerful yard and should be capable of doing much better before long.
Promising runner-up in 1m Curragh maiden last month, drops in distance and should have prominent role to play in this contest.
Shamardal colt is a brother to smart winner Weld Arab, debutante is one of two for trainer in this and booking of Smullen catches the eye.

Second runner for trainer here, has plenty improvement to find on last month's C&D debut run, though yard remains in excellent form.
Footstepsinthesand gelding, bred to have nice mixture of speed and stamina and is one to take note of in betting for this debut run.

Forecasts

Madrid (11/8), Meagher's Flag (6/4), Family Tree (5/1), Palace Guard (9/1), Song Of Dunes (20/1), Don't Do It (33/1), Rockfish (40/1), Amor Fati (50/1), It's Paddys Day (66/1)

Verdict

MEAGHER'S FLAG gets the nod to go one better having chased home a very exciting Ballydoyle prospect over a mile at the Curragh last month on debut. That form could work out very strong in due course, and with normal improvement he should be hard to beat now. Family Tree cost plenty at the sales and is greatly respected while another pair of newcomers, Palace Guard and Song Of Dunes, are also worth paying attention to in the betting.
  1. Meagher's Flag
  2. Family Tree
  3. Song Of Dunes
