Made a forward step from her debut by progressing from a fourth place to a runner-up slot last time out clearly knowing more on the second occasion. Only caught by a promising debutante who has since won again she easily sets the standard here.

Looked very keen on her debut leading and running very free in a hood (retained here) but finished well held and she would need to show much more to take a hand here.

Outpaced and inexperienced on her debut at Salisbury over 7f she steps back a furlong here a move that is unlikely to sort this stoutly bred sort.

Offered little on her debut at Leicester over 6f dwelling at the start and looking green throughout the race making very little impression on the principals.

Had looked as though she was a longer term project taking her debut run as a guide although she did show some promise on her next start. The only one to really challenge the winner at Lingfield she should do better again.

Like quite a few from this yard she looked to need her debut and was always likely to be sharper for it. However dropped down to 6f for her second run she didn't show any improvement and may be one for nurseries after this third run.
Her pedigree suggests that she'll need further given that she's a half-sister to four winners including Kasperenko (winner at up to 1m4f) and two further relations that won over hurdles. Worth a market check given she comes from a good yard.

Price shot up to 70,000 gns as a two-year-old and she is a sister to the two-year-old 6f winner Sallal. The dam was also a 6f winner and a half-sister to useful juvenile winner over 5f Racina. Interesting newcomer.

Trainer is hardly know for his juvenile winners (only one in the last five years) but this one wasn't cheap at 85,000 gns. Not ruled out on her debut but would need to have some market confidence behind her to be worthy of support.

Failed to progress from her debut still looking very much in need of the experience and looks as suggested by her debut that she needs more time. This run is likely to tell us more and whether she can win a maiden/novice or nurseries will be more the ticket.

Forecasts

Daybreak (1/2), Musical Theatre (6/1), Wear It Well (8/1), Havana Heart (9/1), Lady Godiva (10/1), Living In The Now (20/1), Princess Harley (25/1), Harbour Seal (40/1), Foxangel (50/1), Happy Ending (66/1)

Verdict

The clear form standard is set here by DAYBREAK although the ground will be far quicker than she’s performed on so far but if she can act on it then she should be able to break her maiden here. There are some interesting types in opposition though some raced and some unraced with Lady Godiva and Havana Heart looking to be the candidates from the former group. Of those that have yet to see the track Musical Theatre takes the eye the most with David Simcock winning this last year with a first timer and she should be watched closely in the market.
  1. Daybreak
  2. Musical Theatre
  3. Lady Godiva
