Rounded off last season with a win and two more successes at the start of the current campaign confirmed her progress. Three runs off this mark have failed to yield a win, but she was good at 1m4f last time and must be considered back down in trip.
Seems to love this track, with both career wins achieved over C&D, including by a short head from Marie Josephe on latest run. Up 4lb and has little margin for error, but course form gives her a head start.
Won four races in a row last season, but handicapper took his revenge and she has not scored since. Ran respectably in her comeback race on the AW last month and can be expected to improve for the outing off the same mark.
Switch to frontrunning has produced significant improvement and she employed those tactics when just touched off by Impressive Day over C&D. Has gone up 3lb and it should be a close thing between the pair again.
Followed up some solid placed efforts when winning a Beverley handicap in July. She is 7lb higher now and the evidence of her most recent run at Salisbury suggests the handicapper has her measure for the time being,
Only win came in a Salisbury handicap off 5lb lower in May, last year. Has been running fair races in defeat, but needs to come down in the weights to be a force again.
Promise for Luca Cumani last year, and two outings for current trainer have yielded a third place in a handicap and victory in a Wolverhampton maiden. Back in a handicap off 3lb higher than when beaten on her return, she needs to have progressed.
Fair form in four maidens before finishing second on handicap debut over 1m at Newmarket. Step up in trip should suit, but it will need to do off 4lb higher.
The subject of mistaken identity when winning a 6f race restricted to two-year-olds at Yarmouth, she has been running creditably enough in handicap company without suggesting she is about to win one. Will lack nothing from the saddle, though.
Forecasts
White Chocolate (3/1), Marie Josephe (9/2), Kitty Boo (9/2), Mia Tesoro (13/2), Impressive Day (8/1), Jive Talking (8/1), Millie's Kiss (11/1), Great Court (12/1), Kath's Legacy (25/1)
It should be a close-run thing again between Impressive Day and Marie Josephe and both should go well in a tight handicap. Great Court could step up after getting her head in front last time and Kitty Boo is respected for a trainer who does so well with his three-year-old handicappers, but the selection is top weight WHITE CHOCOLATE, who should appreciate this return to 1m2f and may have more to offer.
- White Chocolate
- Marie Josephe
- Impressive Day
