Won three times last year but struggling to get his head in front from this sort of mark. ran well in defeat last time out on the AW and versatile ground wise when it comes to turf so he's not without an each-way chance.
Back-to-back winner this season before he may have found the ground too soft at Goodwood last time. Not disgraced by any means and should run well on a sounder surface, despite possibly wanting some firm in the going.
Best effort yet for this yard when third of 16 at Newbury last time out. On a fair mark judged on his best efforts for Sir Michael Stoute and ought to run well if he can build on his latest effort.
Ffos Las maiden winner beaten out of sight on two starts this campaign from out of the handicap. Did run well here last year but needs to bounce back to form and others arrive with stronger claims.
Successful twice when trained by Andrew Balding and run some decent races in defeat since joining this stable earlier this year. Fair effort here over C&D two starts back but this more competitive and wide draw not ideal.
Gained his second win of the year at Salisbury in July and not disgraced in two starts since, particularly at Newbury last time but looks vulnerable for win purposes despite getting services of an excellent 3lb claimer.
Winner at Newbury last year but not won since and is in a bad run of form. Working his way down to a more realistic mark but hard to fancy in current mood.
Two C&D wins to his name but not won for over two years now and despite the fact he ran some good races in defeat at the start of the campaign, the form of his most recent runs have been very disappointing.
Won twice in his career, most recently a French claimer and wasn't beaten far over C&D last time. Gives the impression we are yet to see the best of him and may have hit the front too soon last time; interesting runner.
Ended a frustrating run of seconds with a win at Wetherby earlier in the year and won at Nottingham two starts back. Ground may have been a little too soft for her at Goodwood last time out and worth giving another chance to off a fair looking mark.
Cost a small fortune as a yearling and is beautifully bred. Improved from a placed effort at Chelmsford with a win in a four-runner affair at Haydock last time out and should go well again provided he handles this sort of ground.
Winner on turf debut at Nottingham and followed up with a placed effort back at that course before winning at Windsor in July. Disappointing last time and has to settle better if he's to get his head in front at this level.
Forecasts
Najashee (2/1), Al Nafoorah (8/1), Grand Inquisitor (8/1), Golden Wedding (10/1), Exceeding Power (11/1), Fire Tree (11/1), Dragons Voice (12/1), Majeste (12/1), Lady Perignon (14/1), High Draw (16/1), Kingston Kurrajong (25/1), Directorship (33/1)
While Najashee will no doubt prove popular in the better and was impressive last time out, it may be worth taking a chance on GRAND INQUISITOR who shaped like a return to form was imminent at Newbury last time and is on a very fair mark on old form. High Draw is another interesting runner who doesn't look entirely exposed and he may be capable of running a place.
- Grand Inquisitor
- Najashee
- High Draw
