Now back down to a mark lower than his last winning mark. Disappointing last time out at York, but must go on the shortlist with, going, grade and distance conditions in his favour.
Inform trainer/jockey combo, beaten 4L last time out at Ripon. Course winner and coming back down to a winnable mark.
CD winner back in June 2016. Has been beaten of late and is gradually slipping down the weights, but is still 4lb higher than last win.
Still pretty consistent and won off a 2lb higher mark in a Ripon handicap in June, beaten since but on a dangerous mark.
Former Roger Varien inmate, last Flat turf win was in July 2016 in a Pontefract handicap over 6f. The gelding is regressing it seems.
Has been well beaten in last three starts over further than this. He is 0/5 on Flat turf appearances and it looks like he mat struggle again.
Consistent in last three starts showing plenty of enthusiasm. Up 1lb for ½L defeat last time out, but is now 2lb lower than last win.
Finished third of seven, ¾L behind Talent Scout, here, last time out, his best performance for quite sometime. Still 7lb lower than last win and condition do not suit.
Gutsy and tough veteran is still on his last winning mark of 75. Won at the track at the last meeting just holding off the advances of Chiswick Bay.
Sandwiched between Bold Spirit and Talent Scout. last time out and has been dropped 2lb for his neck defeat. Plenty conditions in his favour today and could place.
Forecasts
Rousayan (2/1), Al Khan (5/1), Sovereign Bounty (11/2), Tatlisu (13/2), Favourite Treat (11/1), Chiswick Bey (12/1), Mishaal (12/1), Talent Scout (14/1), Shah Of Armaan (40/1), Bold Spirit (50/1)
Shah Of Armaan and Talent Scout could be vying for the lead in this, with Sovereign Bounty, Mishaal and Favourite Treat, travelling close behind.
Chiswick Bay, plenty conditions in his favour today and Tatlisu, one time Ayr Silver Cup winner, can go well, but preference is for, AL KHAN, who goes well in this grade and is 1lb lower than last win.
- Al Khan
- Chiswick Bey
- Tatlisu
