Creditable performer down the years with six Group races to his name including two Group 1 wins. Another good effort behind Washington DC last time and won't mind any cut in the ground but he'll struggle to concede weight to the entire field here.

Fine effort when landing the Bunbury Cup two starts back at Newmarket, under a fine ride from a 5lb apprentice. Disappointing two weeks later and looks a little out of his depth in this company but does get the assistance of De Sousa in the saddle.

Group 3 winner at Newcastle back in 2015 but not managed to get his head in front since. Went close last time out at Goodwood but may struggle returned to Group company here and better over 6f.

Won seven of his first eight starts but not won since landing a Listed race at Salisbury over a year ago. Good effort in a Group 3 at Leopardstown in June but well beaten on the AW last time and this is far tougher than either of those assignments.

Runner-up in Italian Group 1 last year after a Group 3 win at Chantilly. Has been below that form on recent starts but he won't mind any cut in the ground. Needs them to go a good gallop to be seen at his best.

Had always looked more of a speed horse but has been seeing out this new trip well. No show at Goodwood last time but may not have handled the track and likely to prefer this course. Each-way claims.

Better than ever when opening up with two wins this season, including a Group 3 at Lingfield. Couldn't land a blow in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last time but respected in this company; may not want any rain.

Listed winner at the start of the campaign and landed a valuable race at the Curragh last year. Has a bit to find at this level and has always appeared to be better over shorter.

C&D winner who won a Listed race over this trip at Haydock last year. Inconsistent sort but ran well in Group 2 company at the Curragh last month and yard are in better form now. Seemingly the yard's second string though.

Group 3 winner at Deauville in 2015 but yet to win for this yard. Fine form in Group 1s towards the end of last year and didn't get a clear run at Goodwood last time out. Drop into Group 3 class could be what he needs to get his head in front.

Largely deployed as a pacemaker for Ribchester throughout this season, with varying success, but capable at this level and won a Group 3 at the Curragh last year. Better over sprint trips but may make his presence felt and he's a game front-runner.

Her five wins have all come over this trip and career best when winning a Group 3 at Doncaster last time out. Entitled to need this on her return though and may not want any rain.

Particularly impressive in a fillies' Group 3 at Newmarket in April and didn't quite stay the mile when third of 14 in the Guineas. Unplaced in a classy Group 3 last time and a little unproven with cut in the ground but more progress looks likely.

Winner over this trip in soft ground at Newmarket two starts back but couldn't justify odds-on favouritism over that same C&D last time. Huge improvement needed to play a part at this level.

Won three times last year including the valuable Wetherby's two-year-old contest in September. While he's not won since, he's running well in defeat and run a big race at Royal Ascot. Couldn't build on that last time but claims if he bounces back.

Consistent sort for this yard who narrowly got his head back in front at Newbury last time in soft ground. Likely to give it a good go again from the front but vulnerable to speedier types.

Debut winner at Newmarket and excellent fourth in the 1,000 Guineas. Disappointing last time but maybe didn't stay and she's interesting runner dropped back in trip; not necessarily the second string with this weight right on Crowley's minimum.

Verdict

DABAN looks like the one to side with provided the ground doesn't get too soft and John Gosden has already had a Group winner here this week. Jungle Cat is an interesting runner if one can put a line through his run last time out while Talaayeb could run well dropped back in trip, getting both age and sex allowances and is completely unexposed. Suedois is another danger and he's been holding his form well this year.
  1. Daban
  2. Talaayeb
  3. Jungle Cat
