Goes well at this course - last win over C&D from a 4lb higher mark, so well treated for this return to Bath. Interesting if supported but still has a bit to prove under top weight.
Won over C&D last September and has subsequently followed up from a mark of 70. Looks weighted to the limit on a literal reading of his last two starts. But will be helped by today's ease in grade. Another to monitor in the betting.
Has posted a couple of solid efforts in maiden company but was well beaten on his recent handicap debut. That was a better race than this, however, and the drop back to 1m should suit. Worth a check in the betting.
Clobbered with a rating of 82 after winning a maiden at Dundalk last year. Well below that level ever since and form for current yard has been poor. Makes limited appeal here.
Loves this C&D and can never be ruled out at his favourite track. Needs to equal his personal best and last three starts have been very off-putting. Claims on the pick of his form but a lot of trust needs to be placed in his ability to bounce back.
Struggling to find his level this season and also has a bit to prove regarding his stamina over a mile. Others preferred.,
From hit the buffers in Ireland but now with a yard that knows how to revitalise horses that have lost their way. Improvement needed from when he was last seen out though.
Last two starts as good as anything else on show and this lightly raced filly has a bit more to offer on these terms. The drop back to a mile will suit and she looks worthy of a small interest in a weak race.
Hood applied for the first time and is potentially on a very fair mark. Long losing run is very off-putting though.
Forecasts
Masterofdiscovery (3/1), Unit of Assessment (4/1), Diable d'Or (9/2), Nutini (9/2), Rinaria (6/1), British Embassy (12/1), Hot Mustard (14/1), Mister Musicmaster (25/1), My Fantasea (25/1)
Karl Burke has enjoyed a profitable spell of late and the North Yorkshire-based trainer can add to his recent haul if RINARIA can step things up a couple of notches now that she drops back in trip. Masterofdiscovery steps back in grade and is a live danger in this company, while British Embassy and Mister Musicmaster both handle this course particularly well and will be hard to keep out of the frame if they can both up the ante from recent efforts.
- Rinaria
- Masterofdiscovery
- British Embassy
