Back to the same handicap mark as when winning at Beverley in April. That also came over this sort of trip so has to enter calculations again.
Couple of promising efforts at Pontefract recently when making the frame, first attempt at 7f now but yard striking at 24 percent recently and must be a live contender.
His handicap form hasn't been able to build on what he showed in maidens, with his handicap runs being poor. Little better over 1m at Newmarket last month (good to soft) but more called for.
An expensive purchase, he hasn't been the most straightforward so far, though took a step in the right direction last month at Doncaster (7f, good to firm). Handicap debutant.
Filly took a step forward last time at Ayr over this trip when meeting sounder surface, talent lurks but worries if the ground deteriorates.
Was last of five at Brighton last time over 7f on good to soft but only beaten 2L. Wears first-time cheekpieces now and should be on the premises.
Maiden was adopting front-running tactics on the AW late last year, first run now since December and may struggle to deploy those tactics off a break.
Off the mark at the tenth attempt last week at Ayr of good ground over this trip, raised 5lb on that effort but entitled to build on it and remain competitive.
Redcar maiden winner in May on reappearance (7f, good to firm) but hasn't threatened to build on that in handicaps since. 3lb back here but makes limited appeal on recent form.
Winner over 6f on soft ground at Catterick last month, every chance since back there over this trip off this revised mark but appeared to run out of puff in the closing stages.
Front running filly was denied her hat-trick last time out on AW at Wolverhampton, previous wins at Redcar and Beverley over this sort of trip were on firm ground. Can run well off this mark on turf, but soft conditions a concern.
Well beaten off in Class 6 events at Nottingham and Lingfield recently, on similar ground to what is likely here, filly doesn't make significant appeal at the moment.
Forecasts
Proud Archi (5/1), Lady In Question (5/1), Clear As A Bell (11/2), Perfect Symphony (11/2), Inglorious (8/1), Cupid's Arrow (8/1), Screaming Gemini (11/1), Ghaseedah (14/1), Oud Metha Bridge (18/1), Queens Royale (25/1), Grinty (25/1), Heaven's Rock (33/1)
Clear As A Bell was denied the hat-trick last time at Wolverhampton but there's every chance she is better on turf anyhow. A likely front-runner, she is respected but must be treated with some caution on softish ground. Perfect Symphony has been hinting his turn will come soon with good efforts at Pontefract and represents a stable in super form while any money behind handicap debutant Ghaseedah should be worth noting. INGLORIOUS got off the mark last time at Ayr and, with confidence boosted, should give this a run off his revised rating.
- Inglorious
- Perfect Symphony
- Ghaseedah
