One win in 13 starts, he will try to improve on that record on his first start for a new trainer. Recent efforts have been a bit hit and miss, but his reduced handicap mark offers hope.
One win in six starts for David Lanigan and now tries his luck for a yard which does well with this type. Potentially well handicapped, but needs to rediscover his earlier form.
Won on debut at Chepstow last year, but no joy in five starts since, though did run well off 1lb higher at Thirsk last time. Has a chance if able to build on that effort.
Signs of ability in three maidens and now makes his handicap debut. Hails from a good yard and would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour.
Only win in eight starts came on the Kempton AW, but has not been at his best on recent starts and finds himself on a career-low mark. Others make more appeal.
Best run in six starts for current trainer saw him finish a close second at Redcar in May. Would have a chance if able to replicate that display off a 2lb lower mark.
Still a maiden after 14 races, but most recent effort, when a close second at Ayr, indicated he may not have to wait too much longer for a first success. Confidence tempered by a 2lb weight rise, however.
Last of 14 when fitted with cheekpieces for the first time on his latest start, but connections persevere and a 4lb drop may help. Plenty to prove on recent displays.
Three runs in maidens preceded his handicap debut at Beverley, where he failed to land a blow. Already 5lb lower, but has to step up to figure.
Still looking for his first win after eight attempts, but has occasionally hinted at ability and probably found the softening ground against him last time. Should be happier on this ground and is not without hope.

Hard to make a case for several of these, but Discovered may do better now handicapping and Mr Cool Cash should run his usual solid race. Darvie has been hinting at better things but the selection is DARK FOREST, who has shown enough to suggest he can win a race off this mark and shaped well last time. Insurplus is another to note in an open handicap.
