Former C&D winner, twice went close here last month over this trip and 7f, settling for second on both occasions. Should be in the firing line once more from 1lb higher mark with cheekpieces back on.
Probably not the force of old, but bounced back to form when winning at the Curragh ten days ago in 1m good ground apprentice handicap. Up 5lb but has scope to go well from this mark on old form.
Took advantage of low rating to make winning start for this trainer at Gowran Park last month (1m, good) and since run fine race over 7f at Galway despite an 8lb hike. Back up in trip and not out of this with first-time hood tried.
Mare was just ¾L behind Captain Cullen at the Curragh last time in second spot. That was a pleasing return to form and chance here if building on it.
Has three wins from eight runs this year, comes here on the back of a positive effort over 7f at Cork when clear in third spot. Up 2lb but should run well again.
A 14-race maiden, ran best race last time at Galway when beaten ½L in third over 7f at Galway on softish ground. Up 3lb but looks to have solid claims in this.
Won a claimer at Gowran Park over a mile on yielding ground in May but hasn't been able to build on it. Capable on his day but certainly not reliable.
Now an 11yo, ran a fine race at Galway last time when close second over an extended mile on soft ground. Not out of things on that evidence.
Filly was a winner at Bellewstown over the trip last month and just nodded out on the line over this C&D since from an 8lb higher mark. Has more weight again now, but not discounted.
Narrow winner of a Cork handicap (1m, good to firm) in May but has since run a pair of poor races and comes here with plenty questions to answer on the back of recent Galway effort.
Has won at this track before and clocked up a hat-trick last month after joining this yard. Handicapper appears to have control again now, but cannot be ruled out.
Not without promise in maidens but tailed off when last of 11 at Gowran last time and questions to answer after that effort.
Career-best when winning C&D handicap three weeks, getting up on the winning line, has been raised 7lb for that success and will need another personal best to follow-up seemingly.
Signs of ability in maiden company but finished well beaten in both handicaps starts to date and has to uncover some improvement to figure in this.
Well beaten in all maidens and similar fate on handicap debut at Galway over extended-mile on soft ground earlier this month. Has to improve.
Not far behind Captain Cullen last time out but isn't getting any favour at these weights in bid to turn things around and other appeal more for this contest.

A tough contest to solve, plenty can be given chances and they include CAPTAIN CULLEN, who scored over this trip last week at the Curragh. He's been raised 5lb for that win but retains the scope to do well based on his old form and should give this a good crack if in the same mood now. Poetic Choice choice wasn't far behind him on that occasion and, likewise, the mare has decent claims in this field. One of the main dangers looks to be former C&D winner Korbous, twice a runner-up recently and feasibly weighted to go one better now. Cloudy Miss and Magwadiri are also worthy contenders.
- Captain Cullen
- Korbous
- Poetic Choice
