Charlie Rascal²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 11-4| J: R Johnson| T: N P Mulholland| CD

11/8

Won on stable debut last time out here over 2m1f on good to soft, despite less than eye-catching jumping display, making mistakes at the second and last hurdles.

Form: 1

Born Legend⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: L P Aspell| T: O Sherwood

25/1

Disappointing on only start as a two-year-old and beaten on all four Flat starts for Charles Hill. Best watched on stable and hurdling debut.

Form:

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: James Davies| T: W G M Turner

12/1

Won a Leicester claimer over 1m2f on good to firm just last month for trainer-Mark Johnston. Changed hands recently and best watched on stable and hurdling debut.

Form:

Kenyan^p1,t¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Aidan Coleman| T: S Durack

25/1

Maiden after four starts on the Flat but signs of ability when 12L fifth of nine over an extended 2m at Stratford (good) on hurdling debut, before disappointing last day at Uttoxeter.

Form: 54

Kereman¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Ian Popham| T: D Skelton| BF

16/1

Unraced for Dermot Weld and picked up cheaply for €5,000 in November 2016. Has a promising Flat pedigree. Fourth of five, beaten 21L in Market Rasen juvenile hurdle over the extended 2m, sure to come on for that experience.

Form: 4

Skilful Lord^t1¹¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: D Pipe

33/1

Rated 48 on the Flat after six starts for trainer Stuart Kittow. Never finished in the top half of any field he ran in during his two-season Flat career.

Form:

The Raven Master^t1³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton

2/1

One paced Raven's Pass gelding, a five-race maiden for Michael Bell, who went well on yard and hurdling debut at Stratford last month, when beaten just ½L.

Form: 3

Forecasts

Charlie Rascal (11/8), The Raven Master (2/1), Newt (6/1), Il Sicario (12/1), Kereman (16/1), Kenyan (25/1), Born Legend (25/1), Skilful Lord (33/1), Marettimo (33/1)

Based on Flat form, Newt, off the mark in a Bath handicap over 1m5f for trainer-Mark Prescott, may take the field along here in the early stages, with Charlie Rascal, who won on hurdling debut, but put in a less than eye-catching jumping display, making mistakes at the second and last hurdles, in behind. Preference is for the Dan Skelton-trained, THE RAVEN MASTER, who went well on yard and hurdling debut at Stratford last month, when beaten just ½L.
