Off the track since finishing last of ten at Wolverhampton in November. Previous form was better but not enough to make her a contender in this.
Went off at 100/1 on debut here in November but better was clearly anticipated when second on her return to action two months ago. She finished a readily beaten second that day and, although a step in the right direction, it might not be enough for this.
80,000 gns Invincible Spirit and a half-sister to three useful AW performers including Power Game. Clear promise on debut and, like many from the yard, significant improvement can be expected. Jockey booking is a sign of intent and the stable are really firing after a slow start.
Split two horses on final start of 2016, the winner now being rated 95 and the third rated 65. Raced too freely on her return in April and has not been seen since. Hard to evaluate with any conviction but she has to be considered in this grade if able to find cover.
Unraced Equiano filly out of a dam who has produced a couple of winners who were effective from 1m-2m. Stable not usually associated with debut winners.
Unraced daughter of Exchange Rate and related to several winners. Trip looks right based on pedigree and stable do well in AW maidens.
Forecasts
First Dance (1/1), Counter Spirit (3/1), Natheer (7/2), Amenta (6/1), Sovrano Dolce (20/1), Musical Fire (50/1)
First Dance is hard to predict judged on her last run. An absence and a return at this level suggests there have been issues since. She would be hard to recommend in this small field judged on her latest run but positivity in the market would heighten interest. Amenta may have achieved less than it appears last time but COUNTER SPIRIT arrives on the back of an eyecatching debut. She was handled considerately on her debut and will improve for the extra furlong. Most of the yard's horses improve from their debut and her pedigree makes her one to watch on this surface.
- Counter Spirit
- First Dance
- Natheer
