His C&D win came in a division of this race last year off a 4lb lower mark making use of his lower turf mark but really that win came from out of the blue. Despite generally being a better AW horse his only win since has come on turf over 5f at Catterick but he's looked to be in a bit of a lull of late although he does drop in grade here.
His form since dead-heating in a Ripon apprentice handicap in April off a 1lb higher mark has been rather hit-and-miss with his last couple of runs being well below par. Hard to totally write off but will need the ground to stay as it is to have a chance.
Showed good form at the backend of last year when taking a couple of sprint handicaps (both off higher marks). Has without doubt fallen to a good mark now although there are question marks as to whether he can take advantage with another good apprentice taking the ride.
Makes his debut for this yard stepping into handicaps for the first time after running in sprint maidens for the Dods team. Has a long absence to overcome and the run will probably be needed but one to keep an eye on for the future.
The visor now goes on for the first time with his temperament looking as though it could get the better of him after several poor runs and other forms of headgear not working. Given his current foibles he can only be watched here despite competing in an easier grade than he has been off a falling mark.
Appears to have found some vitality of late winning back-to-back races at Doncaster (both 0-70) over sprint trips on ground with some give. Again ran well last time out off this mark when taking the runner-up slot at Pontefract and doing best of those who stayed on the unfavoured far side. Could have more to come if he can cope with the quicker ground here (been placed on it before).
Now off a mark that is well below his last winning one he appeared to have taken a step in the right direction on his penultimate start over 5f at Ripon. He failed to build on that promise though and can only be watched here.
You can't say that he's been hidden away this year and he finally resumed winning ways in a little purple patch in March-May taking three handicaps out of five starts. Kept busy since and a first-time visor delivered his fourth win of the year at Pontefract in a race that panned out well. He'll need to be in top form to defy this mark but he has won over C&D before off a lower mark.
Most of his best form has come on the AW with his last turf win coming back in October 2015 over C&D off a mark of 54. There's no doubt that he has improved since that run with all his wins/form since really coming on the AW. Some of that improvement needs to be evident here from a mark 3lb higher than when third in this last year.
Only ran once as a juvenile for the Dods yard and now goes into handicaps for his new yard after showing his form only once for this yard in two starts. Doesn't look that easy to deal with and clearly had his issues and probably best watched here.

Muatadel (15/8), Foxtrot Knight (6/1), Pea Shooter (6/1), Foxy Boy (8/1), Fujin (17/2), Kibaar (9/1), Bosham (10/1), Crosse Fire (11/1), Ballesteros (12/1), Canford Bay (14/1), Another Angel (25/1)
Those at the top end of the handicap aren’t exactly in the best form and this may well be best left to MUATADEL who ran a sound race last time out at Pontefract and possibly got left or picked the wrong side to race on. Fujin may well be better on the AW bit he’s nicely berthed here and did run well in this race last year having already been a C&D winner. Crosse Fire would need to improve but can’t be written off while stall 1 should help Ballesteros to exploit what is a good mark despite recent disappointments.
