Unloved in the market on stable debut over 1m3f at Hamilton where she was noted plugging on at the finish. In form stable do well here and have an 18 percent strike rate with horses having their second run following their switch to them.
Gets an 11lb pull with Bollin Ted for the 7L she was beaten at Beverley over 1m2f. Has produced a better effort since over C&D and the stable have been in better form lately.
Looks held by Clenymistra on latest run over C&D but she at least appears to be reaching a peak. Stable have been struggling for winners of late but this filly has suggested she could break that hoodoo off this mark,
Improved effort last time when ridden more positively at Lingfield over 1m2f on soft ground. Looked short of a turn of foot and no surprise to see her back over this trip. Just 2lb here and one for the shortlist.
Has shown much improved form on his last two starts whilst giving every indication of better to come over this trip. Interesting with a visor on for the first time.
Fortunes lifted as the stable hit form a month ago. Back to back wins over 1m2f at Beverley were followed by defeat when supported for an amateur's event last week. Did well under the circumstances as he was the only horse to race on the unfavoured side of the track in the home straight. Looks sure to be in the thick of things again.
10-race maiden and beginning to look one paced. New mark and rider's claim should make her competitive but likely to find one or two too strong once more. cheekpieces now fitted.
Last of 13 in first time cheekpieces over 1m6f last time. Has claims off this mark on pieces of old form but that latest effort tempers enthusiasm.
Has looked one paced this year including last couple of starts over further. Mark continues to fall but hard to fancy nevertheless.
Worth considering over this trip and off current mark if conditions improve. Looks to have a race in him once everything falls into place.
Yet to make the frame in eight starts and steps up in trip on third outing for new yard. Has work to do in order to reverse latest form with Bollin Ted.
Has finished last on all three starts and difficult to find any reason why she may be competitive now.
Has been beaten at least 11L on all starts to date. Handicap mark is due to drop a further 5lb and another struggle would appear to beckon.
Forecasts
Bollin Ted (9/4), Arcadian Sea (5/1), Clenymistra (15/2), Broughtons Admiral (17/2), Eyreborn (12/1), Velvet Voice (12/1), Princess Nearco (14/1), Siyahamba (14/1), Conistone (14/1), Neptune Star (16/1), Spirit Of Rome (25/1), Hot Gossip (50/1), Thornton Mary (100/1)
It should pay to side with those who have shown the most lately. Broughton's Admiral and Velvet Voice went well last time and promise to do better over this longer trip. BOLLIN TED was thwarted in his hat-trick bid last week when he stuck to the far rail in the home straight on an afternoon where the early races were dominated by those who came stands side. There was strong support for him that day and, with his stable continuing to fire in winners, he gets the nod. Clenymistra is closely matched with the selection and also merits consideration having gone well over C&D last time.
- Bollin Ted
- Broughtons Admiral
- Clenymistra
