Yet to make the frame this season and stable are struggling for winners. Potentially well treated when the stable show signs of turning the corner but that has not looked imminent.

Winner of a 7f AW maiden for Williiam Haggas and promised more following a pleasing reappearance in May. Disappointing when favourite for next two starts and when fitted with cheekpieces. Those aids are removed by her new trainer who steps her back up to a mile. Worth noting if there is a move for her in the market.

Strike rate of 1-21 is not particularly enticing, but she seems to try hard enough and has been knocking on the door on her last four starts. Her consistency means she gets little respite from the handicapper, but few would begrudge her another victory. Rider 7-21 for the stable.

The hat-trick looks a strong possibility following her latest victory. The runner-up defied a 2lb rise to score on Friday and the third and fourth have also won since. A 3lb higher mark may be little deterrent judged on that form.

Ended a long losing run at Beverley but started slowly and was always behind at Pontefract last week. Hard to forgive that run and he has something to prove.

18-race maiden benefited from a more positive ride over C&D last time when going down by a neck to a subsequent winner. A 3lb rise makes things tougher but yard are 6-27 in past fortnight so another bold display cannot be ruled out.

Backed at decent prices when winning at Ayr last time showing improved form on her first run for this yard. She appeared to appreciate the ground on that occasion but will have to cope with a higher grade and 6lb rise in the weights here.

Made all to land a lower grade race at Hamilton a month ago and failed to follow up there five days later. Unlikely she will have her own way up front here and a rise in class makes her claims less obvious.

Potentially well treated judged on her juvenile form but showed little on her first two runs of 2017. Stable in cracking form but hard to consider unless there are signs of confidence in the ring.

Hit and miss for Hugo Palmer and also showed signs of temperament. Not seen since handicap/stable debut three months ago and best watched here.

Stable came off the cold list on Saturday with a winner at Redcar. Remains a maiden after 13 starts but looking better handicapped now. Likes to come from off the pace and has been too keen lately. There should be plenty of cover here and a stronger pace which give her each-way potential.

Not disgraced on first attempt at this trip ten days ago but continues to look short of finishing pace. Cheekpieces now replace blinkers.

Has made little impact lately and is difficult to recommend on debut for new yard. Tries a new trip and tongue-tie fitted.

Forecasts

Totally Magic (4/1), Rosy Ryan (9/2), Dellaguista (15/2), Miss Goldsmith (8/1), Mama Africa (8/1), Arcane Dancer (9/1), Cline (10/1), Dominannie (11/1), Yorkshire Pudding (14/1), Lil Sophella (22/1), Al Hawraa (25/1), Wedding Breakfast (50/1), Lilly Ballerina (150/1)

Verdict

ROSY RYAN and Mama Africa both contested races last time that have been working out well. The former beat three subsequent winners last time and that makes a 3lb rise in the weights appear generous. Kevin Ryan has his horses going well so Cline and Al Hawraa are worth watching in pre-race trading. Totally Magic is consistent and the rider has a good strike rate for the yard so another prominent display is expected.
