Has a few decent efforts to her name over longer trips (7f and 1m), most notably when beaten 2L by the progressive Peach Melba over 7f at Chepstow (soft) last month. The tongue tie is applied for the first time and whilst the trip isn't ideal, the surface shouldn't pose any problems.

Not an abundance of promise in a couple of attempts in maidens for this yard during June (Carlisle and Tipperary), but could be suited by going back handicapping for just the second time in her career and notable that she makes the long journey over from Ireland. Wears first time cheek-pieces.

Has raced only on a sound surface on turf to date, and was hit with a 12lb rise for a decisive 5L success on handicap debut at Chepstow in early May. Whilst she's been a beaten favourite twice since from this mark, those efforts were reasonable ones. Cheek-pieces applied as more progress is sought.

Nine race maiden who went close to breaking her duck on a soft surface at Bath in May (5½f) when finishing a head second to Babyfact. Not so effective since and relatively few excuses for those below par performances.

Successful from a 4lb lower mark at Bath in early May (5½f Firm), but anything but a regular winner overall during her career. Seemingly didn't get home over 7½f on her latest start here last month and this drop in trip will almost certainly prove beneficial, but needs to prove herself conclusively with cut (has some experience on soft).

Course winner (5f) from a 4lb higher mark in September 2016 (soft) and has shown a broad overall liking for this track. However, not in such good form in 2017, but importantly has been successful previously over this 6f trip (at Leicester in July 2014).

Forecasts

Fastnet Spin (2/1), Zambezi Queen (5/2), Incentive (11/2), Kingstreet Lady (6/1), Evies Wish (6/1), Powerful Dream (6/1), Topmeup (13/2), Diminutive (18/1)

Verdict

Cheek-pieces could squeeze more improvement out of the Chepstow winner Zambezi Queen, but a softer surface would be the unknown for the Paul Cole trained filly. Therefore, despite some reservations with regards this shorter trip, the more obvious pick is the first time tongue tied (also blinkered) FASTNET SPIN. She has some reasonable efforts to her name over longer trips and appeared to handle soft ground well enough when beating all bar the progressive Peach Melba on her latest outing.
  1. Fastnet Spin
  2. Zambezi Queen
  3. Diminutive
