C&D winner as a two-year-old last November but disappointing since finishing 3L third in a 7f Listed event at Lingfield in March. Beaten 37L over 1m at Sandown (good) last time out and returns to the AW in first time cheekpieces today.
Successful over 7f at Doncaster (good-to-firm) in May but held on turf since. Not beaten far when last of five on only previous AW start at Kempton as a two-year-old.
Winner twice already this year including at Goodwood over 7f on good ground in June. Well beaten on soft ground over the same C&D earlier this month on his only start since and races off a mark 8lb higher than when winning over this trip at Lingfield on his latest AW start.
Victorious over an extended 5f at Bath (firm) when wearing a hood and blinkers for the first time last time out. Both of those are retained today and he tackles this trip for the first time on his AW debut.
Broke her maiden over this trip on soft ground at Newmarket in May. Had previously finished a neck second over an extended 1m at Wolverhampton earlier that month and she returns to the AW for her handicap debut.
Successful in a handicap over 1m at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) in June but well held on soft ground at Doncaster later that month. Races off a mark 7lb higher than for that victory today.
Broke his maiden over 6f at Newbury (good-to-firm) in July last year but well held in all five starts since including twice since being gelded. Others make more appeal on his AW debut.
Sole victory came over 7f at Newmarket (good-to-firm) last September. Fair effort when sixth of 12 over 1m here last time out and making his debut for a new trainer today.
Defending an unbeaten record having won twice over this C&D last month. Races off a mark 3lb higher than when winning by a neck last time out and one to note upped in class today.
Maiden winner over 7f at Newcastle at the end of June and a fair effort when fourth of nine upped to 1m here subsequently. Drop back to 7f should suit but more needed here.
Successful three times so far including at Carlisle (good) over 7f in June. Finished runner-up subsequently but disappointing last time out and unplaced on three previous AW starts.
Winner of a maiden over 6f at Leicester (good) in October last year but well held on handicap debut over this trip at Newmarket (good-to-soft) in June and others make more appeal today.
Forecasts
Golden Goal (9/4), Moolazim (4/1), Via Serendipity (5/1), Aventinus (6/1), Important Mission (7/1), Open Wide (10/1), Volatile (20/1), Jalela (20/1), Majeste (25/1), Aardwolf (33/1), Mississippi Miss (50/1), Miss Sheridan (66/1)
GOLDEN GOAL can defend his unbeaten record by recording a third consecutive win over this C&D. The selection was successful by a neck here three weeks ago and can take this following a 3lb rise in the weights. Jalela got off the mark at the third attempt when dropping to this trip for the first time at Newmarket on her most recent start and she can claim second on her handicap debut while Important Mission, fourth here on handicap debut can claim third with a leading jockey booked to ride today.
- Golden Goal
- Jalela
- Important Mission
