C&D winner off a 3lb lower mark in June and a couple of respectable efforts in Listed company since. Most recent effort came on good ground at Deauville last month and he is an interesting runner despite a wide draw here.
Finished a neck second to Encore d'Or over this C&D in June. Well beaten at Ascot the following month and races off a 2lb higher mark than for that June effort.
Ran well when finishing fourth to Royal Birth in a Listed contest over 6f on the AW at Lingfield in February. Well held since finishing a close sixth over 5f at Epsom (good) in June and returns to the AW from a wide draw today.
Runner-up over 6f here back in June and put a disappointing Newcastle effort behind him when winning easily over the same distance here last month. Cheekpieces worn for the first time on that occasion are retained here but he has to defy a 10lb higher mark dropping in trip today.
Group 3 winner over 5f at Goodwood (good) in July last year and highly tried subsequently. Finished last of 12 in a Group 1 contest at Royal Ascot (good-to-firm) in June and makes his handicap debut today.
Successful twice over 5f on the AW at Lingfield in February and ran well in a Listed contest over the same C&D next time out. Well held the last twice and defending an unbeaten 3/3 record over this C&D.
Victorious over C&D on his penultimate outing back in March. Well held off this 5lb higher mark at Ascot in a valuable contest last month and interesting on his return to the AW.
Saw off six rivals when winning over C&D in May and a winner on turf at Goodwood (good-to-soft) since. Disappointing at Newmarket last time out and returns to his preferred surface today.
Goodwood (good) winner by a short-head over this trip earlier this month. Races off a 4lb higher mark today and interesting as he seeks his fourth victory of the season in this valuable event.
Successful in a conditions contest over 5f at Hamilton (good-to-firm) in May but well beaten in three subsequent starts including in a handicap at Newmarket in June. Others make more appeal here.
Completed a four-timer when winning at Salisbury (6f, good) last September and beaten a head in a Listed event the following month. Well held on both starts so far this season and returns to handicap company today.
Five time winner in a 33 race career including four times on the AW. Finished runner-up over 6f here last time out and interesting to see how he fares here.

MAZZINI has raced exclusively over 6f so far in a 14 race career and he can defy a 10lb rise for an impressive win in first time cheekpieces over that trip here last month. The selection showed good speed when making all on that occasion and he can follow up in this valuable sprint handicap. Verne Castle is unbeaten in three starts over this C&D and while he has been out of form of late he can put in a bold show despite a wide draw in his bid to defend that record here. Zac Brown, a winner off a 3lb lower mark here in May can put a modest effort on turf last time out behind him by finishing third today while Goodwood scorer El Astronaute is another worth considering in this contest.
