Verne Castle is unbeaten in three starts over this C&D and while he has been out of form of late he can put in a bold show despite a wide draw in his bid to defend that record here. Zac Brown, a winner off a 3lb lower mark here in May can put a modest effort on turf last time out behind him by finishing third today while Goodwood scorer El Astronaute is another worth considering in this contest.
