C&D winner in April, not as good since but probably didn't stay 1m2f at Goodwood last time and better can be expected now dropped back down to this trip with a leading jockey up for the first time.

Denied a ha-trick at Doncaster last time out on soft ground having won two races over this trip on good ground prior to that. Maybe now too high in the handicap.

Has run well in some better races than this recently, and only just above his most recent winning handicap mark, with soft ground unlikely to pose him an issue. One for the shortlist.

Sole career win came over C&D and was disappointing at Bath last time wen he had no obvious excuses. Chances if bouncing back but looks his owner's second string on jockey bookings.

Beaten favourite last time out and is yet to make his mark in this level of handicap. Plenty to prove now, though softer conditions are unlikely to be an issue.

Forecasts

Cullingworth (2/1), Fujaira Bridge (9/4), Eagle Creek (11/4), La Casa Tarifa (9/2), Helovaplan (5/1), Brother McGonagall (7/1)

Verdict

Eagle Creek seems to be the more fancied of the two Sheikh Obaid runners and both of them should go well but preference is for LA CASA TARIFA. Mark Johnston's gelding won over C&D in April, and should prefer this test compared to a longer race at Goodwood last time when it seemed like he didn't stay. He should be on a workable handicap mark, and has the services of Silvestre De Sousa for the first time. Cullingworth is another to consider, especially if any further rain were to arrive.
  1. La Casa Tarifa
  2. Eagle Creek
  3. Cullingworth
