In fine fettle and placed on his last four starts (winner over the extended mile at Hamilton two runs back). Narrowly denied a follow up success at Chepstow (1m soft), but reassessed since and now 5lb higher hence the call for this young 7lb claimer.
12 race maiden who left previous trainer Pat Phelan over the winter and made a reasonable start for these connections in early June (twice placed). Arguably not quite so good since, but can be excused his latest effort (too far).
11 race maiden who was formerly with Mick Channon, but has gradually worked his way into form for this trainer. Ran well when fourth to Amy Blair at Hamilton (1m+) in early July, and better still when beaten a head over this trip by Mr C in a maiden handicap (good to firm) at Pontefract most latterly. Chance.
Showed promise (most notably on debut) when placed in a couple of 1m maidens at Newcastle during the winter. Back from a break for handicap and turf debut at Hamilton last week and could do better for that start now upped in trip.
Hasn't done too much of his most recent racing on turf and it's been a long time between drinks (last success in December 2015), but the stable saddled a winner at Newcastle on Thursday Evening and this one ran okay when fourth to today's rival Polar Forest at Beverley (1m2f) earlier in the month.
Not quite able to force his head in front lately and has finished a runner up in each of his last four starts, including in a C&D seller last week. Others are probably stronger, but there was plenty of credit in being beaten just a neck by the higher rated Hernandoshideaway at level weights.
Nursery winner on Tapeta at Newcastle in September 2016 (1m) and fairly solid in the early weeks of the 2017 turf season (twice a runner up). Not so good over C&D latest (last of four), but still very early days to be readily dismissive of her just yet.
A four time career winner who hasn't sampled success in 13 months (Musselburgh, July 2016) but slipping in the weights and has shown a couple of glimmers this year so not ruled out, but with the suspicion that a return to Wolverhampton would suit best.
Only managed to beat a single rival in four starts since winning at Musselburgh in April 2016 (7f) and nigh impossible to consider.
In excellent order during the early weeks of June, building upon a fair run against a well treated rival at Newcastle (Archipeligo) when winning at Nottingham (1m2f good to firm). Maybe quite hasn't got home over longer trips since (1m4f), but raised slightly in the weights with the over-riding feeling being that he might not quite be in the same form after a busy spell.
Has looked moderate in four starts to date, including when beaten 13½L on his handicap debut at Ripon (1m2f, good to soft) last time. Drops 3lb, so with headgear now on, keep an eye on the market for clues as to a better effort. Taken out after the deluge at Nottingham earlier in the week.
A grand mare who is generally best with cut, which made her 33/1 Beverley success (beat Royal Reserve) all the more of a surprise. She went well over a slightly shorter trip here subsequently when going down narrowly to Mr Sundowner, but is slowly creeping up the weights and Royal Reserve (set too much to do) can be fancied to extract his Beverley revenge.
16 race maiden who hasn't seen all that much racing since late 2016. Well beaten on her return for Michael Dods in June and needs to leave that showing (and others) well behind on debut for this trainer.

ROYAL RESERVE has made a broadly pleasing start for David O'Meara, and arguably should have been able to build upon his stable debut success at Wolverhampton last month. He looked particularly unlucky when badly hampered at Newcastle on Ladies Day, but still got to within just over a length of Archipeligo. There is no denying that he was disappointing at Ripon on Monday, but with better odds likely he deserves one final chance before the new stable effect completely wears off. Of the remainder, Spiritofhayton should be better upped in trip with last week's Hamilton reappearance under his belt, and Akkadian Empire should go well for Iain Jardine if as effective on a softer surface.
