Won off this mark on the AW at Newcastle in January, but not quite so effective on turf and has been well held on his last three starts at Doncaster. Others make more appeal.
Won decisively over 7f at Musselburgh two starts ago, but could finish only third of six over that C&D off 5lb higher last time. Return to a mile, which he has won over, needs to yield some improvement.
Ran his best race for some time when second to an improving 3yo at Windsor last time. Leading jumps yard has been among the winners on the Flat and this gelding is capable of making bold bid.
Admirable servant to stable and still a capable performer at the age of nine as he showed when dead heating in a Beverley seller two starts ago. Not suited by a slow pace at Hamilton last time and can do better.

Forecasts
Stanley (6/5), Chiswick Bey (3/1), Buckland Beau (3/1), Echo Of Lightning (10/3), Dutch Art Dealer (6/1), Rockwood (6/1), Rousayan (8/1), Lil Sophella (16/1), Ralphy Boy (16/1), Talent Scout (25/1)
Ralphy Boy has won this for the last two seasons and has to be considered despite his ordinary recent form. Chiswick Bey was not suited by the way his race panned out last time and is respected, while Buckland Beau is handicapped to go close even though his lack of victories on turf is slightly offputting. Cases can be made for several others, but the vote goes to STANLEY, who hails from a stable which has done well with its limited number of Flat representatives and who shaped well against a progressive 3yo last time. Rockwood looks best of the rest.
