Has made minor gains in four starts, the latest when stepped up to this trip at Bath (good) on his handicap debut last time. A 2lb drop will help, though he looks in need of a greater slide before coming good.
Unable to show much in four starts so far, the latest of his handicap introduction over this trip (good to firm) at Salisbury. Cheekpieces added today, but from the same mark it takes some leap of faith to see him turning around a 35L defeat.
Put up an improved effort last time when landing a maiden handicap at Pontefract (1m2f, good to firm) at 14-1, when he stuck on really well. Yet to race on ground softer than good, but if he handles this then he could again go close after just a 3lb rise.
Never a threat to the front two when an 11½L third over 1m4f at Ffos Las (good) last time. That was probably her best effort on turf to date and this trip might actually suit her better. Probably has each-way claims again from 1lb lower.
Has made the frame on his last two starts, both over 1m at Southwell (AW), although he was beaten 10L and 7L respectively. From the same mark as the latter, he will need improvement for the return to this trip and turf to be finishing in the money again tonight.
Has shaped better on her last two starts, being beaten 3L when runner-up at Lingfield (1m1f, good to soft) and the same distance last time over 1m½f (good to soft) here. From the same mark again, she is not ruled out of picking up some prize money.
Has been on the slide since going close on her first start for this yard at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) in May and is now 10lb lower. Nonetheless, she has been beaten by wide margins of late and is impossible to fancy at present.
Yet to make the frame from 11 attempts and nothing that she has done on the racecourse suggests that that is about to change this evening, although optimists may suggest that this step up in trip might bring some improvement.

A poor contest to bring the curtain down on the card and the tentative suggestion is ROCK ISLAND LINE, who represents a stable going really well on the Flat this term and who may do better now dropped in grade and with headgear on. Mr C is an obvious danger after a win last time, while Masterfilly and Ronni Layne are others who could get involved in the shake-up.
