Had given notice his turn wasn't far away when a close second here over 7f in early July, and duly made no mistake when dropped back to 6f here last time out. Needs to prove this trip suits as well as shorter, but drawn to attack and follow-up can't be ruled out despite 4lb rise.
Won at Redcar in April (first run after seasonal break) and mainly credible runs since, looks worth a try back at 7f based on latest staying-on sixth at Ripon (6f) and if improving again for it, not discounted here.
Close third over this C&D in May and looked a surefire winner on that, but has taken a couple of backward steps since and a most disappointing favourite last time out. Change of headgear and return to a track he's gone well at before are the straws to cling to, but risky now.
Hadn't shown much before appearing to outrun herself over this C&D last time out, form that the handicapper has taken literally and clobbered her with a 13lb weight rise for. That looks too much, and others make more appeal.
Had appeared on the downgrade but stopped the rot with a head second at Yarmouth, pair nicely clear of the favourite in third and the form looks fine. Up 3lb but chances if building on that.
Winner on the sand at Newcastle in February but that was at 5f, and her form since then isn't anywhere near as good. Upped in trip again today and looks to have too many questions to answer at present.
Sent off big prices last four runs, but not disgraced over C&D (soft ground) when a close third in July, the first-time hood producing a better run. Nowhere near as good on quicker ground at Redcar last time but if the rain comes, a better effort wouldn't surprise.
Travelled well and looked the winner at Ayr last time out, stuck well to the task but just found one too good. Same mark here and if the cheekpieces work a second time, he can't be ruled out, with likely ground fine.

Not an easy finale to solve. CUPID'S ARROW is chosen as despite the fact she's yet to fully prove herself at the trip, she's so well drawn in stall 2 that it gives her every chance of making all and holding on late in the day. Jack Blane is less well drawn in stall 10 but may give him the most to think about. Regal Decree and, at a bigger price, Redrosezorro, are both worthy of consideration.
