Well adrift of Sir Billy Wright last time and looks to face an uphill task in reversing that form. Possible that something was amiss on that occasion but also off-putting that he finished behind Dougan at Doncaster in his previous outing.
Run excellent races at here and Haydock recently over this trip, but out of class last day in Sky Bet Dash at York last month.
Has been given a break after a fruitful winter on the AW. Very consistent sort and won a C&D handicap on his AW debut in December.
Not having a bad season in mid-level sprint handicaps but needs a career best by some distance to score here; reportedly in-foal.
Nudged up 3lb for a really good effort when a ½L runner up at Doncaster (6f, good to firm), before not getting competitive in York's Sky Bet Dash last day.
Becoming increasingly difficult to win with the the handicapper has only steadily released his grip despite a string of defeats. Well beaten and no impression, 10th of 14 in Hamilton handicap over 6f.
Another lover of cut in the ground whose two wins have been over this trip. Nudged up 1lb after making the frame at both Thirsk and Carlisle and a further 6lb for a win at Pontefract on the last day of the Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival.
Posted a personal best winning a Thirsk handicap and seems to be at the top of his game just now. Fourth of six, beaten 2L carrying 3lb higher, though dropped a 1lb since.
Done well for this trainer so far, winning on his first two starts for the yard on the Tapeta at Newcastle (5F), and regaining the thread at Doncaster over this trip, before disappointing sixth of seven at Haydock in June.

A race with an advantage for those leading of racing prominently, which brings in the likes of Captain Don, Jaywalker and the three for me here, Sir Billy Wright, seems to be at the top of his game just now, Snap Shots, run excellent races here and BOSSIPOP, up 6lb for a win at Pontefract on the last day of the Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival.
