Stepped up considerably from his debut to finish third of six in a sub-standard maiden here last time. Has work to do to concede weight to younger rivals from powerful yards.
Son of Casamento. Purchased for 60,000 gns as a yearling in October 2015. Half-brother to winners at up to 1m4f including the useful Twin Soul. Too green to get competitive on his Windsor debut (1m2f) and has been given a three month break since. Will probably need further than this in due course and may still need the experience. Check the market for further clues.
Showed some promise in the Wood Ditton but failed to progress when beaten at Wetherby next time. A significant break since suggests there may have been something amiss.
Bated Breath colt, cost 160,000 gns as a yearling. Related to several winners and dam was closely related to Group 1 winner Timepiece. Improved on sole two-year-old start when finishing 6L seventh of nine over 1m at Newbury (good-to-firm) on seasonal debut in April. Off the track since and looks a likely type for a handicap after this.
Unraced son of Arch out of a dam who won on her debut and has produced a dirt winner in the US. Worrying to see blinkers on for debut but stable landed this two years ago so worth a check in the market.
Debutante half-brother to three winners including the useful Summer Fete. Well worth a check in the market in a race which has been going to well supported runners from big yards.
Expensive purchase who has only beaten one rival home in each of his two starts. Hood now fitted and hard to see the aid making that significant a difference.
Well beaten on both starts to date but will qualify for handicaps after this and they will be more his forte.
Unraced son of Cacique and a half-brother to useful handicapper Cohesion and to dual winner Marmot amongst others. Yard 2-10 with three-year-olds on the July Course so worth noting in the market.
Half-brother to the useful Wannabe Yours. Needs to improve on a modest debut but yard took this 12 months ago and are in excellent form.
Three runs so far in maidens have shown that she does have ability but needs to settle better. Fetched $320,000 as a yearling and, being by Galileo out of a dam who won eight races, she needs to find a race to help with her paddock value. In form trainer removes the hood and employs a rider with a good record on his three-year-olds.
Showed a little in a couple of winter AW maidens but needs to have made giant strides during a seven month break. Jockey booking suggests the run might be needed.
Very poor here in 1m soft ground maiden in May and only marginally better since at Windsor (good). Hard to fancy and watching brief seems best for the moment.
Filly is closely related to the useful winning sprinter You're Cool and her dam was a winner over 2m. Third behind an easy winner and the second won a poor race next time. Improvement is expected but probably not enough to be up to this.

The market has proved a good guide to this event in the past and, with powerful yards represented by unexposed types, it could be a similar story again. It is doubtful any of these are anything out of the ordinary and those with experience don't look the sorts to win races of this type. MOUNTAIN HUNTER may be the pick of the Godolphin newcomers judged on pedigree and the fact their other runner, Kunani, wears blinkers on his debut. Euqranian and Wannabe Like You are the pick of those with experience.
