Runner-up in a Group 3 at Newbury last year and while he's found Group-level a little beyond him this time around, he gave the impression he could be well-handicapped off this sort of mark with a better effort at York last time. Return to softer conditions likely to suit and interesting he's stepped back up in trip.

Gained his second win when scoring at Newmarket in Listed company earlier in the year and possible fast ground has caught him out on subsequent starts. No guarantee to get an easy lead here though and not as much scope as some off this sort of mark.

Endured a quiet spell in Meydan after joining this yard from the William Haggas stable but has found his form this summer. Bounced back from a slightly disappointing effort at Royal Ascot with a win at Yarmouth last time out and 3lb rise for that looks lenient. Ought to go well again and versatile tactics wise.

Improved for his debut when landing a mile contest at Haydock and improved again to win at Ascot last month. Second and third from that contest have both run well in defeat since and 5lb rise for that effort probably lenient. Proven to some extent in softer conditions and leading claims with Moore booked to ride.

Winner of a Class 4 handicap at Sandown last time out against some useful looking sorts including Frontispiece who reopposes here. 6lb worse off this time around though and margin of his success was only small; may struggle to confirm the form.

Consistent sort who has proved equally as effective on turf as he is on the AW after a fine winter on various synthetic surfaces. Not beaten far by a progressive sort last time but softer conditions not necessarily in his favour here and up another 2lb.

Made a lovely start last year, winning his first two and then finishing runner-up in Listed company at Ascot. Gelded in the winter and was placed in all three starts in June, two of them in handicaps. Well beaten last time out though and while yard do very well at this meeting, others probably more progressive.

Struggling off his revised mark since a win at Brighton at the start of the season and seemingly in need of relief from the handicap. Would appear to be the second string on jockey bookings.

Won a maiden at Newmarket two starts back but couldn't justify favouritism when switched to handicap company at Sandown last time. That looks like a decent race and he arrives here on better terms; likely to do better on soft ground here with De Sousa booked.

Form of his win two starts back at Sandown has been franked by the runner-up winning since but couldn't make it three wins from three starts at that same course last time. Suspicion is that he's better than that effort and he gets the services of a promising claimer removing 5lb.

Firm ground winner at Haydock two starts back on faster ground and has a previous win on the AW to his name but beaten out of sight on fast ground last time in a three winner contest and conditions probably gone against him here.

Maiden winner at Windsor and nearly won again at that course last time out but produced a disappointing effort on softer ground sandwiched in between those outings and suspicion is he wants a faster surface.

More exposed than most in here and not won since his debut at Thirsk. Ran well at York two starts back (had Emenem behind) but very disappointing at Ascot last time out and has a bit to prove in a race as deep as this.

Verdict

ADDEYBB is still entirely unexposed and the rise for his latest win looks a little lenient; with Ryan Moore set to ride for the first time, he could be hard to beat. Frontispiece and Hold Sway hold similar form lines and should run well but Kings Gift may prove the main danger with conditions likely to suit.
