Recording his eighth victory in 43 starts when winning over 3m2f on good ground here last month. Races off an 8lb higher mark today and the 7lb claimer on board on that occasion takes the ride once more.
Registered a double in spring 2016 but pulled up on final start of that year at Stratford in August. Ran well until no extra late on over 2m7f at Worcester (good) on his seasonal debut earlier this month and interesting with a tongue tie worn for the first time today.
Completing a treble when winning at Worcester over 2m7f on good ground last June. Disappointing on final two starts of last season and wears blinkers for the first time on his first outing since finishing fourth at Southwell (good) last October.
Seeking to maintain his unbeaten record since joining this yard having won three times three starts. Latest of those came over 3m2f at Newton Abbot (good-to-firm) three weeks ago and races off a mark 5lb higher than for his latest success today.
Winner at Sedgefield over 2m5f on good-to-firm ground in September 2015 but absent until finishing third of five at Bangor (good-to-soft) over 3m last month and well beaten at Cartmel subsequently.

FORT GABRIEL can maintain his unbeaten record for this yard by taking this competitive looking handicap chase. The selection was scoring for the third time in succession when making all at Newton Abbot last time out and he can record a fourth success for this stable under similar tactics here. Of the selections rivals Gingili has been running well over hurdles of late finishing in the first two in each of his last four starts and he can claim second ahead of Billy Two Tongues who ran well on his return and has a tongue tie fitted for the first time here.
