Stepped up on debut seventh when finishing third over 6f at Chepstow (good) last time out. Purchased for £85,000 as a yearling and likely there's more to come.
Ran well when finishing fourth on debut at Leicester (good-to-soft) over 6f in May and a decent enough effort when fifth at Ascot (good) next time to suggest he is likely to be playing a part in the finish here.

All three starts so far have come at this track. Finished fourth of nine over C&D on good-to-firm last time out having previously placed twice over 5f. Ran well on good-to-soft ground on debut and likely to run well again here.
Hampered mid-race when finishing 12th of 13 over 7f on good-to-soft ground here last month. Started a big price on that occasion and interesting to see how he fares dropped in trip today.

Well beaten fifth in a nine runner contest over 6f when debuting at Chepstow (good) last week. Probably best watched in this.

Cost €60,000 as a yearling last September. Caught the eye when a staying on fifth of 12 over 6f at Leicester (good-to-firm) on debut last month. Yards juveniles often improve for the run and may surprise a few here.

Forecasts

Paint (7/2), Blazing Beryl (7/2), Manthoor (7/2), Fighting Irish (9/2), Joegogo (9/2), Buffer Zone (5/1), Hidden Affair (6/1), Bezos (10/1), Livingstones Quest (16/1), Mouchee (16/1), Spot Lite (40/1)

Verdict

The form of MANTHOOR'S debut sixth at Nottingham is working out well and he can improve on Owen Burrows' 33% strike-rate (2/6) in recent weeks by taking this two-year-old maiden contest. The selection can be given most to do by the experienced Joegogo who finished fourth over this C&D last time out while Fighting Irish can finish third having run to a decent level of form in two starts so far.
  1. Manthoor
  2. Joegogo
  3. Fighting Irish
