C&D winner (March 2017) who is best suited by coming late from off a fast pace. Effectively handicapped to win (5lb lower than his latest success) and a runner up in two of his last three starts, including over 6f at Yarmouth on Thursday. Visor accompanies hood.
C&D maiden winner (September 2016), who also tasted success from just a 1lb lower mark at Hamilton in May. Likes to race to the fore, and makes appeal with a promising 5lb claimer booked.
Hadn't shown much in four starts until improving when beaten a neck by Sweet Zain at Newmarket (5f good to firm) in late June. That form has worked out well, and she was off the mark with ease on her next start at Yarmouth (5f good). 4lb higher and switched to the AW, but with a top rider booked.
12 race maiden who has fallen sharply in the weights. A bitter disappointment when last of twelve at Bath latest (5f good to firm) and needs to show much more now visored for the first time.
Ten race maiden, but regularly in the places on the AW during the winter, including over C&D in December when a runner up to the then progressive Dazacam. Off since February and returns wearing first time cheek-pieces.
Now on a losing run that stretches back to October 2015, and was beaten in a seller on his penultimate start. Hard to imagine him being involved despite the falling mark and drop in trip.
A winner of a soft ground 5f Hamilton handicap earlier in the month, he weakened late on when third to Kodimoor back at the Lanarkshire venue most latterly. Theoretically, well placed to seek to take advantage of a 7lb lower AW mark, but whilst now in-form, it's a worry that he's 0 from 10 on synthetics during his career.
Winner off a mark of 54 over 6f at Hamilton (good to firm) for previous stable last August, but has shown nothing in four attempts for this stable in 2017, so impossible to fancy.
13 race maiden who hasn't exactly set the world alight in two runs back from a 12 month break. Switches back to the AW for a first crack on Tapeta.
Not a regular career winner (2 from 50), and yet to truly prove himself on synthetics. His reduced mark gives him claims at his very best, but largely below par since Christmas.
20 race maiden; twice a runner up in low grade contests over 6f at this track last back-end, but always behind when last of eleven to Culloden at Musselburgh latest and impossible to fancy.
Lightly raced (five race maiden). Done okay since switched to handicaps (closely matched with Camanche Grey), and not entirely out of the question that she could make the frame.

Cool Breeze (7/4), Ambitious Icarus (9/2), Nuala Tagula (6/1), Luv U Always (13/2), Camanche Grey (10/1), Jorvik Prince (12/1), Mighty Bond (16/1), Mercers Row (16/1), Poet's Time (20/1), Three C's (20/1), A J Cook (25/1), Roman Times (33/1), Nefetari (50/1)
A fast early pace will suit the late finisher AMBITIOUS ICARUS, and the likes of Nuala Tagula and Jorvik Prince are likely to provide fierce early competition for the lead. The selection is a C&D winner who is on an attractive mark, and we know that he is in relatively good order after a decent showing at Yarmouth on Thursday (6f). He is likely to have most to fear from the progressive Yarmouth winner Cool Breeze. Her career has taken an upward turn since dropped to 5f, and is consequently much respected with Jamie Spencer booked to ride.
