Carraig Insurance British EBF Valiant Stakes (Fillies' Listed)

Rattled off a hat-trick last year and has seemingly improved again this time around, making all at York in May on his next two starts, firstly in Listed company before being stepped up to Group 3 company last time out. Ground won't be an issue and gives the impression she will enjoy the step back up in trip. Leading player dropped back down in class.

Winner of her first two starts but has largely struggled in Listed company since. Trainer's in excellent form in recent week and he has a good record when combining with this jockey but this filly looks up against it on all known form. First-time cheekpieces need to improve her.

Winner of three of her first four starts, last of which a Group 3 contest at Newmarket. Excellent effort in Group 1 company in France when runner-up to Le Cressonniere but was a shade disappointing in two subsequent starts. Sizable absence to overcome but brings the best form in the race to the table and she won't mind conditions.

Back to back winner last year but hasn't managed to land a blow upped in class since and struggled in Group company. Has run okay in Listed company several times and each-way claims again if first-time blinkers have a positive effect but she would probably prefer faster ground.

Broke a long losing run at Leicester a couple of starts back and consistent efforts since but looks out of her depth in this company.

Won a maiden at Lingfield last year and has really come in to form with a wins at Newmarket and Ascot earlier in the month after slightly disappointing efforts earlier in the season. This certainly much tougher than her latest assignment but still unexposed and trainer will have left more to work on. Each-way claims if she takes another step forward and the ground doesn't inconvenience her.

Recorded a hat-trick last year culminating in a Listed contest at Sandown before placing in Group 3 company on final start of 2016. Not quite in the same form this year but yard are in excellent form and jockey has a 25% strike-rate riding for this stable; each-way chance if she bounces back.

Just about a career best to win a Listed contest at Sandown earlier in the month but suspicion is that the ground has gone against her here and she would need a to improve a fair amount to win this contest.

Third in Group 1 company last year and not disgraced on three starts in Group company this time around. Will appreciate the drop in class and trainer excels with his fillies, could run well in first-time blinkers.

Improved to win a maiden in fine fashion last time out but big step up in class required. Seemingly the second string on jockey bookings but trainer's fillies capable of finding in excess of stone between runs and can't be ruled out entirely.
