Won twice for his former trainer but lost his way for this yard and only beaten one rival home across his last three races. Probably better over a shorter trip than this and yard been out of form for some time; up against it.
Career best when winning a York handicap towards the end of last season over 2m in soft conditions. Has an absence to overcome but well suited to cut in the ground and gives the impression there's more to come.
Won easily at Kempton earlier in the month and entitled to go well again from just 5lb higher. Switch back to turf is a slight question mark but if he proves as effective in this ground he will be hard to beat.
Back-to-back winner at the start of this campaign but not been in the same form since and shaped as if amiss at Windsor last time. Would probably want to see faster ground than what he will encounter here and has questions to answer now. Wears first-time blinkers.
Won twice at Windsor but has failed to show the same sort of form away from that course recently. Has shaped like he will enjoy this sort of trip on several occasions and trainer and jockey have a 36.59% strike-rate when combining; no surprise to see him run well.
Seemingly progressing with age and entitled to have needed his comeback run at Catterick last time. Trainer has an excellent record around here (28.57% strike-rate) and no surprise to see him carry on progressing this season.

CLOWANCE ONE's new handicap mark looks a little lenient after his win last time out and provided he can prove he's as good on turf, he looks the one to beat. Tenzing Norgay, Taper Tantrum and West Drive are all still progressing and can fight it out for minor honours.
